A&M is their super bowl. Arky always seems to play us well, even if they do lose, so they're a trendy pick

We haven't been able to run against UTEP, Toledo, or Texas Tech. I put a little more stock in a&m's defense than any of those teams.

Arkansas absolutely has a chance in this game; I fully expect this game to be a 4 quarter dogfight. When Arky is doing what they do best, & I think they will get back to pounding the rock this week, they are a tough out.

They've got talent, they damn sure have motivation, and they should have a good gameplan (read:not try to throw it 50 times a game). It's gonna be a damn good game. I'm stoked about it!

It's 5-5 (and even since 1982).

Regardless of historical performances with different players and coaches, they actually play the game. That's is why Arkansas has a chance.

What am I missing? Why do so many on here seem to think Arky can not only keep the game close but possibly even win?

Ironically, the similarities between Texas Tech and the Hogs tell the story here. Like Tech, Arkansas is consumed with beating A&M. But just as Tech is objectively inferior in every meaningful way - location, money, prestige, talent, coaching - so too does Arkansas lack any real advantage. There just isn't anything about the Hogs which suggests that they should ever compete against a program like Texas A&M.

This fact, while undeniable to the objective observer, infuriates the Hogs just like it did the Raiders. Consequently, like Tech under Leach, Arky is guaranteed to throw the kitchen sink at the Ags every year as they have nothing to lose. This is particularly true given that A&M has passed Arkansas in terms of contribution and value to the SEC (even though Arkansas joined the conference two decades sooner).

With the above in mind, it's easy to see why people are giving them a shot this evening.

This will be a four quarter game.

With the top RB, top FB, top 3 WRs watching from the bench I just don't expect anything other than for the team to compete for the entire game.

It's just A&M, a traditional breather for the hogs...but this just isn't our year.

You are not the Texas school we are consumed with beating. The Aggies fall more into the it would be nice to beat you category with the rest of the old SWC gang. You probably are on the top of the heap of that pile though, narrowly edging out SMU or Houston.
