Why do so many people seem to think Arkansas can beat Aggy?

Just curious...

I've watched both teams play a couple of times this year and haven't seen anything that would convince me that Arky will keep it close, much less win.

I think Aggy wins by at least 10, and possibly a lot more.

What am I missing? Why do so many on here seem to think Arky can not only keep the game close but possibly even win?

Not me. I haven't seen consistent scheming, line play or anything else that convinces me Arky will win. Bert is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oops, sounds like Petrino, doesn't it?

Historically the Aggies usually lose to Arkansas. That's the status quo

A&M has shown signs that it has trouble stopping the run. Arkansas is predominantly a run team.

I don't think Arkansas will win either but I'm not predicting a blowout. And one of the Dallas Morning News sportswriters picked Arkansas to win.

Is that even the case this year? Their rushing attack has been pedestrian to say the very least.

Aggy has shown more of an ability to run the ball this year, IMO.

This is the rub. Arkansas is a run team that can't run the ball this year. Injuries and bad Oline play have forced them to pass a lot more, and they just aren't the same team. Aggies should take them in a walk, but I'll be more than happy to point and laugh if they don't.

I'm not one of those people. I gave Aggy over Arky my highest confidence points this week. Don't blow it Aggy (no pun intended).

until of course the ags joined the conference and the games became meaningful

seriously beat them 4 straight yearly right before they joined, can't do shite against them since

I wouldn't bet on the game because I don't bet against my team but I'd bet against that. BA hasn't been sacked all year.

Also, our run game did show signs of life last week- still not what it would have been had we not had the injuries but we did run for over 200. I know it was Tech but this is the Aggies so...

I took A&M in ATS. If lost on Ark the last two weeks. Not gonna lose again.

I don't get it either. From our should be starting lineup, we're missing our top RB, FB and top 3 WR's. That's brutal. My guess is A&M will win by 17+.

If Arky was at full strength I could see them winning but they're not.

Yup, we are beat to hell and are going to get smoked unless Kyle Allen plays the worst game of his career.

We have a ton of injuries and our back 7 can't cover shite.

Aggies will win and it won't be close.

honestly, I think Arky has a shot because TaM isn't anything special....currently the most overrated team in the SEC imo

I can think of a good number of games where the Razorbacks were given no chance to win only to pull out a victory. Granted, most of those games were against LSU so they don't count.

Absolutely Arkansas can beat the Aggies today. Our defense would have to take some risks, our offense (especially QB Brandon Allen) would have to get over their case of the yips in the red zone, and we would likely have to get over the 4th quarter meltdowns that have plagued Bielema teams since he got here.

Its a tall order, but a doable one.

Will it happen? If the team comes out fired up and ready to play this week we have a shot. If we come out flat like we did the last two weeks we keep it close for a while until the usual suspects do us in.

Because it may not be possible for the Hogs to continue to play this poorly.

Think Arkansas will be able to run the ball and wear them down.
