Trent will do well for Indy. Perfect offensive scheme for him. The Browns suck. No back would have done any better minus a few.

Since some of y'all are going back to Emmitt days, AU has had a couple of good ones in that time.

Stephen Davis
Rudi Johnson

Cadillac Williams won Offensive Rookie of the Year, but then subsequently blew out BOTH knees :(

After a few more years probably 1/3 of NFL teams will be starting SEC backs.

Oh, and don't forget a little part-timer like Bo Jackson who played (and dominated) in the NFL as a "hobby".

This worked at the college level because their OL opened big holes slowly. These backs would almost sit until the holes opened up. In the Pro's that results in contact one yard before the LOS. I bet money you really feel this way too. I admire your honesty.

Watch their college film and then compare it to what you see from them in the NFL. Ingram is not any slower than he was in college, the holes close alot faster in the Pro's. Same with Trent and Lacy, they were use to gliding until a hole opened up. It does not work very well in the NFL.

Since you must be a little young and not remember these studs let me break it down for you. The S.E.C. Has produced some of the best backs the NFL has ever had:

Bo Jackson - Aub
Herschel Walker - Ga
Emmitt Smith - Fla
Charles Alexander - LSU
Shaun Alexander - Ala
Jamal Lewis - Tenn
Kevin Faulk - LSU
Errict Rhett - Fla
Darren McFadden - Ark
Deuce McAllister - Miss
Garrison Hearst - Ga
Tony Richardson - Aub
James Brooks - Aub
Stephen Davis - Aub

Arian Foster (Texans)
Knowshon Moreno (Broncos)
Christine Michael (Seahawks)

Who is that LSU running back who was tearing it up for the Colts again?

The SEC O'Lines make the RB, not the other way Around.

I think you are only looking at the recent draft choices. The last few do not have breakaway speed. TR not a blazer and it's not like he was playing behind a all pro line. Plus his QB didn't take any pressure off of the running game. Ingram not very fast and not in a system that favors power running. Foster good speed and is in a system that compliments his skill set. With TR I don't think it's a lack of talent at all.I think he will thrive in Indy.

Richardson's problem will never be a lack of talent. Injuries will hold him back more than anything.

Joseph Addai had two years (06 & 07) where he rushed for over 1,000 yards. Injuries cut him short.

Ingram would get off the suck list if he was playing on a team that stayed with the run for longer than 1 maybe 2 plays at a time. The Texans would be a good fit for him.
