Bama thought he was pretty good last year.

Bama's plan was to stop the LSU ground game. When you play a great team you pick your poison. To the Bama coaches, and they eluded to this, if you stopped LSU's run you stopped them or slowed them down enough to win.

So was every other team LSU faced. Other defenses looked much better against him IMO.

1 game doesn't make a qb good guy, sorry.

Mett is solid. Not great. Not bad.

Can't drink though. Saw him spill his guts after bear racing some frat bros at bogies.

There was a very large thread last week where bama fans would beg to differ.

Including Towson. Kudos to their staff, they said they knew what LSU was going to do before they did it.

Absolutely. That was one of the most frustrating games I've sat through (and there have been several over the last few years )

He performed very average, but has potential. It was his first year getting decent PT.

We had a QB like that once...he name was Brodie Croyle. So he is that status

Thank you "Settingthestandard"

I haven't been on here long so I dont have a lot of examples but that was very honest and I have to say I dont think most Bama fans would have said that....Appreciate it! He isn't the best in the west but when I saw him spit the blood out of his mouth and get right back in the huddle after y'all put a serious lick on him, I have to support him!

So Bama fans are the standard barrier in terms of who is good QB and who isn't? Interesting.

And Alabama's much heralded secondary. Might ask them for an opinion.

I was waiting for this. We actually had really good coverage for the most part and Mett just had the game of his life. He even looked at the sidelines a few times like he was surprised he made that throw.

Mett is tough as hell, but he has to be because he has no pocket prescence and is slower than molasses. He has a big arm, needs more touch. Seems a bit spaced out at times, too. I think he'll look better this season. Just not sure he has that championship leader-type quality.

Because he had a better Spring game than Murray that one time and since Mark Richt is the King of Fools and kicked Mett off the team, that is all the validation we need. Top that off with his being a part of a Junior College natty team and LOOK THE frick OUT!

No I was just surprised a Bama fan could say something objective about an LSU QB, and without throwing in RTR..... I'm from N.O. and live in Mobile right now and it was refreshing.... Mobile is full of a bunch of uneducated rednecks that never went to college... Everyone I've met that actually went to Bama so far are good people!
