2007 Florida Gators > 2010 Auburn Tigers?

Talent on the roster? Probably.

So according to the posters on this message board, the 2007 Florida Gators > 2010 Auburn Tigers?
Regarding the NFL talent on each team, yes, absolutely.

Care to compare the two?

Top 50 Defenses Faced:

Where did these defenses rank without playing Florida and Auburn?

South Carolina's rank as 46th is misleading considering they had to play Auburn twice in 2010.

Tebow's passing yards came from throwing Percy a screen and letting him go 80 yds. When Percy left the Florida offense left

Like it or not, Manziel's 2012 season is the best we'll ever see from a sheer numbers standpoint. He broke Newton's total offense record (5,116) in two fewer games while accounting for 394 yards every time he put the helmet on.

Here's the deal. Manziel had a very good year against teams that didn't know anything defensively against the spread. Look at what happened when he faced LSU. They dominated him - by far the worse QB rating.
Take that same spread that both TT and Cam played and LSU with better defenses during that time stopped Tebow for the most part, but Cam took over the game doing what Johnny couldn't do - smash LSU and throw over the top. He did the same to Bama with the conference title on the line.
Numbers lie. It is what you do in the biggest moments. In 2012, if TAMU beats LSU, that team would have possibly been in NC contention.

Then you would have seen Tebow do more impressive things against more impressive defenses

I saw ate pe do that with much more talent around him, though.

He couldn't touch Cam in the throwing department.

It never gets mentioned but I think Auburn had 20 Seniors on that team and many were 5th year guys. They may not have been NFL level guys but many were close to that level.

No matter how dominant Cam and Fairly were, you can't just stick the two best players on a crappy team and have an undefeated NC season.

Having those hardworking "program guys" - the savy veterans and leaders is critical to success in my opinion. It also explains why LSU turns perennial top 5 recruiting classes into a Peach Bowl trip. All of that elite talent either declares for the draft early or turns into a lockerroom cancer.
