re: Why do people consistently say Cam's 2010 season was the most dominant?

Because tebow was crying in baton rouge
fricking crying.

So did Mett, other fanbases didn't make a big deal of it though.

Because you have to look at more than just the season itself.
After the season, we saw that UF was clearly loaded with NFL level talent on both sides of the ball that made Tebow's job a lot easier. We also saw that his coach was a top-caliber college coach who went on to win 2 more NCs at different schools while compiling one of the best records in all of CFB.
For Auburn, we saw that they had a few superstars but everyone else was pretty average to good. As for his coach, LOL.
Then we see them both in the NFL and Cam takes his team to the superbowl and nearly wins it all while Tebow shows Manning the blueprint to ride a defense to the playoffs, but other than that cannot even make it out of the preseason.
Given their entire bodies of work, it's pretty clear that Newton's dominant season was mostly his doing, while Tebow had a hella lot of help.
Oh yeah, and no crystal ball for Tebow.

The thing about tebow that game is he was taunting the student section, so his tears were extra sweet to see.
In actuality, I love seeing emotion on the field, no matter who it is.

We gave Tebow a hard time for it at end of SECCG. They should not have put that on the jumbo screens in the dome. But, he never had a chance to taunt anyone in that game.

I think their Heisman seasons are being compared.

It would be interesting to see how Cam's season would be looked at if his NFL career had flamed out like Tebow's. While I do think his season was better than Tim's, I also think his NFL career has made people look back on it even more favorably.

That's probably true. Same case for Manziel if he continues down that road.

Because 14-0 is better than 9-4.
Plus Cam was a better runner.

Because it's true. Cam just willed his way against defenses. His QB dives up the middle would gain 5 yards. He deserves to be the GOAT single season QB.
Next would be jff then maybe tebow.

Running was a big part of both of their games. Tebow had planned runs, the other team knew it and still couldn't stop him. That's not meant to be a comparison of the two, just a general comment.
It may have started with Tim, or maybe it was Vince, but it seems that we now too quickly declare the last guy GOAT.

Tebow is a better punt protector though.

Because we have eyes and watched them both play.
Yeah, this is the answer. Tebow was a heck of a player. Cam was much better, though. He was a better runner and a better passer than Tebow. And Tebow had a better cast. Cam and Fairly put a middling Auburn team on their backs and carried them to a title. Tebow was simply not capable of that.

So according to the posters on this message board, the 2007 Florida Gators > 2010 Auburn Tigers?
Are you guys fricking retarded?
