It's a really dumb firing unless they're negotiating with Chip's agent right now. Even Jimbo is far from a certainty of being an upgrade over Miles.

bullshite! Go back and research your own history. LSU was a respectable program, but not even close to the likes Tennessee much less an Alabama. Why do you think your traditional rival is ole miss?

LSU is the only major school in a state that produces more NFL players than Alabama, which has 2 major schools. It also has as its neighbor Texas, which is talent rich with the most LSU alumni outside of Louisiana. Under Miles, it it regressing in reaching its potential.
Alabama fans, don't be too cocky, post-Saban you could easily go back to losing to Auburn 6 years in a row and having mediocre records.

So because of our history we are forced to stay there?
We can't ever improve because of our "history"?
Us winning a title is an outlier and we are forced to be mediocre after Les because of our history?

LSU fans have been saying this about Arkansas for years. i don't see why that logic doesn't apply to LSU all the sudden.
