As an LSU fan the honest answer is Bama is the measuring stick. Every team that has success is measured as to how they would do against Bama. Its painful to admit.
I have only been to one LSU Bama game and that was the Natty. I sat next to the worst LSU fan that made me embarrassed to be wearing purple and gold and on the other side was a nice father with a small child wearing Bama gear. I spent the entire game talking with them between plays.
I don't hate Bama. I hate always losing to them.
