NO they do NOT deserve to be in the national championship game, THEY LOST. IF any other team with a great tradition lost they would be left out. People do not like teams who always get the benefit. It does NOT frickING matter if they are the best team. Don't you know anything about sports, sometimes the best team does NOT win!!!!!!!!

This may be true but this doesn't address why Bama fans are so arrogant that many of them believe that it is their birthright to be in the NCG every year, which is the point of the OP. As a whole, the Bama fanbase goes beyond it being an "expectation" of a NC appearance.

I don't have a problem with quality teams setting goals and aiming for the NC every year, that's what teams do. What I have a problem with is a fanbase that is so spoiled, and delusional that they think their one lost team should jump undefeated teams, not on their current performances or ability, but on their pedigree.

Bama shouldn't jump unbeaten teams.
But if FSU/tOSU lose, anyone who votes a team other than Bama into the #2 slot is crazy.

That being said... no, dude. Just because their name is "Alabama" does not mean they deserve to get to go to the National Championship. They didnt even win their DIVISION.

Bama didn't become the GOAT by settling for less. One of the duties of the fanbase is to hold the program accountable.

in 4 seasons they only have won the sec west once.

when a dynasty is having it's run they think it'll never end. I'm sure there were Bama fans who thought they'd never lose another game again. but I'm sure there were Nebraska fans that thought the same, Florida fans in the 90s that thought that at some point and then there are the USC Trojans.
remember when USCw chanted 3 PEAT!!! and now you look in the record books and see they never won any BCS NCG. You see LSU, nobody and Texas. No USC. The good times come and go.

So? Bama has won so much because of those expectations. Most people will only ever be as good as you expect them to. If you start going around saying it is fine to win 10 or 11 games then there isn't enough drive to win the title every year.
