It's customary when meeting other Aggies or communicating on alumni stuff, but it's a little odd in professional correspondence. I guess if you work for a Texas based engineering firm it might be more common.

This was in a retail setting and she did work in companies location in College Station .

It's an ancient Indian word, I believe.

It's just not something an Aggie would write. Start with "Aggie Nation". Admittedly our dumbass BOR members may say that, but nobody else associated with the university would ever allow that phrase to escape their lips. It just isn't done.

"Best Academics" - Who gives a shite? We're talking football. This one screams of a teasip with a superiority complex trying to be sarcastic.

"Cleanest Program" - Nobody... well, maybe a few here... but no sane Aggie would ever claim this.

I thought the actual translation was lost many moons ago?

The german scholars have been working on deciphering it...It roughly comes out as, "a whale's vagina".

You just can't get upset at Texas A&M about it. The school didn't put it there and is associated with it by name alone

The Germans deciphered it many years ago but we try to keep it under wraps. As LSU fans we don't want everyone finding out we're actually saying "A whale's vagina Tigers"
