Why did Arkansas QB tried to dive from 3+ yds away?

Did he lose awareness of down and distance situation? Wasn’t it a first down?

That’s at least a 10 if not 14 point swing and what ultimately decided the game.

It’s going to be interesting what his vertical is at the combine.

What decided the game was the defense that stopped him.

Heads-up play for our defender to punch the ball out.

The D made a great play but still a very bad call/execution.. wasn’t it a first down?

It that happens on 4th down with less than a yard to go it makes sense..but why do it then?

Yeah, I have no idea if that was a called play or he decided to do that on his own. BUT that was never going to be successful.

Every single person in our fanbase is asking the same thing. There was absolutely zero reason to jump there. He keeps his feet in the ground, gains two yards and we probably score on the next play to go up 21-7. Mind blowing what happened there.

Jefferson is a baller but he doesn't come off as a smart player.

If it was fourth down then yes it would be understandable but on first down?

The offense wasn't the same after.

For your viewing pleasure: tweet/video of the play.

From watching the video, without any defense there whatsoever I still don't think he would have made the goal line.

What pissed me off was that Sanders was the ONLY Arkansas player trying to stop the scoop and score. aggie had 5 or 6 players sprinting behind the play. That's why the lateral was possible. Hogs were just standing around watching.

It looks like the running back probably could have knocked tge returner out of bounds and atleast gave your defense a shot.

Disrespect/ arrogance to assume you can get away with that level of ball carelessness

Looks like Chris Russell swiped the ball out first

That’s coaching

Even if there wasn't a turnover that's still a wtf playcall. I say this as a person that likes Arky and consider them my second favorite team. Total head scratcher.

Nope. Punched out deliberately.

I thought #5 saved the game for Arkansas before the “handoff”/friendly strip? I will take the gift and move on

Don't extend the ball out and a turnover wouldn't happen.

Jefferson has been having some fumbling issues.
