I don't recall the right stat at the moment, but hasn't Bama lost 4 or 5 games in a row against teams ranked in the top 5?

Going by game rankings or eos rankings?

The first two were lack of team motivation, and the last one was a lack of talent and coaching.

Pretty much this. Against Utah, we had a lot of shite happen before and early in the game (Andrew Smith agent thing, had one or two more OL get hurt). I chalk Oklahoma to lack of motivation. If I was on the team, I would have just thought of it as a vacation to New Orleans. Against Ohio State, we just got beat.

Um, no. Neither by "end of year" rankings or at the time of the game.

End of year rankings is two consecutive losses with the last win against Notre Dame.

Time of game rankings sits at one, with the last win versus #1 MSU.

Bama has lost 4 in a row against teams that finished in the top 10.

Last time they beat a team that finished top 10 was 2012.

And 4-0 in NC games. I wouldn't trade one for the other.

A better question is why has Sumlin never won anything at all, despite having players from the 2nd most talented state to cherry pick from?

That's pathetic. That joke of a coach couldn't even win Conference USA.

Such a long time ago. 23-4 since that evening in Miami. I guess you could cop out and say it's an easy schedule, but how many top ten teams are other SEC programs playing, that finished top, in the same time frame?

Yeah, last top 10 team Bama beat was notre dame in 2012.

I kinda question if ND was a legit top 10 team in 2012, but we will go with it.

Question it. Question Georgia from the game prior while you're at it. This stuff gets old. Few other programs are held to this standard.

That's true. Comes with the territory of unquestionably the deepest most talented roster for years now and the claim that saban is great. UGA was legit top 10 in 2012 though. Top 5 really.

Alabama will continue to churn out 10 win seasons for the foreseeable future. And when the roster has the right combination of talent, depth, and experience a championship run will happen. But losses in big games and bowls are going to happen. There's a smaller margin for error than there used to be.

Meanwhile, as you reach back to cast that stone in Bama's direction, AU (you know, YOUR team) has lost their last 4 in a row (and 5 of last 7) against Division I opponents.

continue with your Bama flame, bro.

I'm no math whiz but that number isn't even good for a batting average.
