Because I'm Louisiana born & have family and friends that have attended LSU . My Uncle played for the Tigers 1964-67 . Never saw him play I was newborn when he started . Spoke with pride of those days till he passed away almost 10 years ago .

The same reason I remain a Saints fan while living in Seahawks country. My fandom is about what I grew up with, not bandwagoning with the flavor of the week.

In all honesty, I think it would be incredibly boring to be an Alabama fan, while receiving every benefit of every doubt and expecting to win every game. I don't know how Alabama fans do it, but I'm sure it's all about the sense of "winning" at the expensive of everything else.

OP and most bama fans here crowing so loud ought to study UK's basketball fans. They win with class and as a result are for the most part, well respected. Hard to be a fan of a school whose fans act like 12 yr old school yard punks winning marble championships.

Because my grandfather, my uncle and I graduated from AU. School affiliation is more important than fandom.
