Right, and KC is in Missouri. You make my point for me. UK wants a bigger stadium? Go to Papa Johns in Louisville, its in your state. What they are doing would be like Mizzou playing Arkansas State in Chicago. It's like a midget with a three foot weener, don't make no sense.

What part of it being a WKU home game and Nashville being close to their campus is difficult for you?

You know like how many people think Kansas City is actually in Kansas...

71,000 capacity and counting Porker. But thanks for your continued interest in Mizzou athletics.

Come on now, the stadium being built into the ground confuses his dept perception with the stadium attendance.

Nashville is only a few miles from the Kentucky border, and Nashville has thousands of Kentucky fans.

I lived there, I know where it is and have a sense of the fan makeup of the town. I saw Tenn orange out the wazoo, followed by a mixture of lots of other different SEC teams. UK was by no means in second place in that category from what I saw. Hey Mizzou has thousands of fans in Chicago or Dallas, but I'd be perplexed if we went and played Missouri State there. Now a game against a big name opponent from another state? Sure, that would make sense for UK to do in Nashville. But this UK-WKU thing just seems whacky. You raving blue whackaloons you.

Either your trying to get this thread to 5 pages or you are just a difficult person to explain geography to, etc. They probably expect a good crowd at the game, need a bigger stadium that's closer to their campus.

71k sounds like a large stadium for a state with a population of approximately 3 million.

Now if that was for a state twice that populous, I would start to question fan passion and interest in the program

Much like the Mexician border, meth production and trafficking has rendered the State of Kentucky an absolute war zone??

A fan asked Mark Stoops this same question today on the Mark Stoops show and he said that it was because they want to reach out into the area.

It's good size for a team that don't have any national titles or a great football history. BTW they are expanding, if they start winning I'm sure they'll expand more.

OK that's a legit answer at least. Recruiting in Nashville. Fine, I get it. At least he's saying it that way rather than being all "its inches from the KY border and there's gazillions of Cat fans living in hiding there" or what have you. Recruiting it is. Go forth, Mark Stoops, and show that you s'posed to be SEC.

WKU is 106 km (66 miles) from Nashville. It's a very easy 50 minute drive to the stadium. Besides that, Nashville is a fun town. Don't mind playing WKU or Vandy there.

Bowling Green, KY is 65 miles from Nashville.

Springfield, MO is 286 miles from OKC.
