Remind me again about living in the past being realistic?

Come on dude.
AND an "Aggy" sighting... you need a self imposed internet ban before logical conversation gets that hamster wheel spinning faster than you can keep up.

Texas has success to boast about.

Not relative to their boasting. I mean BYU and Georgia Tech have as many national titles in my lifetime as they do yet they act like their program deserves to be on the same tier as Bama and Notre Dame.

I am not picking on them, I am just pointing out that our boasting is quite reasonable when compared to the scale here in Texas. If one national title makes you a Bama, then a Heisman has to at least make you an LSU on the same scale. It is all relative.

Plus by any standard we are polite. It doesn't matter who you compare us to we are polite to a fault. Only fanbase that is more polite than us year in and out is Nebraska.

Now time for your moronic response where you don't actually comment on any of the higher-level concepts I put forth here and instead twist the knife for a different stab at A&M. Go ahead and get it out of the way, I kinda want to hear myself talk today.

A Heisman that lost to LSU twice in the fashion he did garners no respect. What's transpired since has only confirmed the lack thereof

JFF averaged more YPG than the ENTIRETY of your offense in 2012...
He couldn't play defense, or kick field goals and we lost games because of it.

You were just "dick slapped"

Again, maybe on the LSU scale. Of course last time LSU got a Heisman winner was in the "black and white" days as you put them so I would think yall would value them more highly.

On the Texas scale a Heisman is huge. Baylor jumped from being by far the worst old Big 12 program in either Oklahoma or Texas to being maybe the third best Oklahoma or Texas program in the current Big 12. RG3 and his Heisman did that. Now going forward Baylor is the better job than Texas Tech, which wasn't the case when I was in school.

I get your point though, it is the same damn stupid boring point that you and half the corndogs always make- without any recent national titles A&M fans have no ground to talk about anything and shouldn't even be on this board because that presumes that the comments of losers have value. Which is fine, you are young.

You don't remember what it was like to be a LSU fan in say 1999. I do remember LSU fans in 1999 and before though, and let me tell you they didn't shut the frick up despite only having one black-and-white title to their name. Trash-talking is part of being a fan, and setting the bar so high basically means there is no bar.

Now time for your off-the-cuff dig that takes one piece of my post and runs with it. I suggest you go down the "Baylor is the better program than Aggy now" path, as the "LSU in 1999 was a better program than Aggy is today" one won't go well for you.

Well, it IS difficult to beat a team 5 times in a row (MSU '99-'13 and Bama '00-'07 notwithstanding :)
Plus the Chavis factor coaching against former team (if indeed it is a relevant factor).

It will be a hard-fought game....

Slow down. National titles? You haven't even appeared in a conference championship in the 21st century, 11 seasons in which were spent in the Big12

Just so we're clear. Here's the records side by side since A&M joined:

In 2012 A&M had a better season than LSU. 2014 was overall about the same but we won our bowl game. So 2 of the last 3 seasons have been better than LSU.

I like that you used this argument for two reasons:
1) It's factual.
2) Chavis ISN'T there anymore you dilbert.

Well when you win 8 games this year it will be the lowest 2 year win total since Saban arrived, wouldn't that be accurate?

8 wins this year and we may be cleaning house. Not giving Miles $5 million per year.

How many head to head recruiting battles has A&M lost to Baylor over the last 3 seasons? I can think of one, KD Cannon.

Is there a Big 12 footprint in Mississippi?
Are there "historic" programs (your words) fighting for said recruits?
Is there enough 4-5* talent coming out of Mississippi to fill up an entire class with some left over?

You should worry about keeping players/staff in your own state before we cherry-pick our next big addition at TAMU.

Well. Look at the schedule. Does any rational LSU fan see 7 regular seasons win on there? Even if y'all win your bowl game, 8 wins is your absolute ceiling.
