Funny, I never remember a SEC team playing in 4" of snow and 23 degree weather. But then, I wasn't complaining. Loving the first snow in 5 years for me.

It was all sleet for the most part here I live north of Mobile near US43 and I65..the roads are a skating rink and there won't be any melting today.

We get weather like this here maybe once in a few years time period and are not equipped to deal with it.

You Yankees should come down here in August some time and let's see how you do.

Because they're weak and spoiled. They've gotten soft having top 10 recruiting classes and coaches that don't stir hornet's nests.

Was 5 degrees this morning. I drive an hour in to work with a heater that barely works when it gets that cold. My toes were frozen chicken nuggets.

The average ranter knows little about preserverance. .

It's 39 degrees here and I don't like it one bit. The good news is that it's supposed to get back to 80 degrees by Sunday.

So...you guys drive in icy conditions no matter what???

Pretty much. It sleeted and then snowed 7 inches here in one night last month and I still had to go to work at 8 am the next morning. You just learn how to drive on it over time.

It doesn't surprise me at all that it was a complete mess yesterday when people have never driven in those conditions. You have to experience it more than once to know what in the world to do.

It iced before it snowed. Driving back to Branson in it wasn't that fun, I do admit.

I talked to a couple from minnesota. The guy said he is in ice all the time and that this is really bad. Inches of ice on the road here in MS and nothing to treat it with. I guess you would just ride around like a normal day though. Bad arse.

When you can be sitting perfectly still and slide off in a ditch, it doesnt matter how many times you've done it. I rode around earlier but it was rough.

Or they have better cars.

I got in a fist fight at the grocery store over bread, knocked that bitch out cold, from behind, to get the last loaf. Go to get eggs, had to knock the walker out from under the old man to get the last dozen. Only thing left was milk, a slim jim in the spokes of a wheel chair gave me the edge towards a gallon.

Only the strong survive the snowpocolypse.

I don't think you can learn to drive on ice. Ice wins every time. Snow? Sure.

I learned my lesson in HS after flipping over from an ice driving learning session. I wasn't driving but it taught me that ice cares less than JFF at a strip club blowing shot guns for Hendo.

That's because you live in Florida. In places where it happens regularly you can't just shut down every single time.

The difference is that cities north of the SEC are equipped to deal with it between the transportation departments and the people used to the conditions while in the south they aren't.

Snow is fun to drive in.

I was just expressing my astonishment that the hogs could drive on ice. Next thing we know they'll be flying planes.

I was able to make the game last night but I live close to the pmac. Most couldn't get there even if they wanted. All bridges (even over creeks) were closed. No salt or sand trucks. No one in Louisiana buys winter tires.
Even with my quick drive I skidded on the road 3 times doing 10 mph.
