Their new defensive coordinator got a train run on him by the anemic ACC during his time at Clemson
the ACC had several high scoring teams during those 3 years.
in 2009, 4 ACC teams finished in top 25 in final AP poll
in 2010, 4 ACC teams finished in top 25
in 2011, 3 ACC teams finished in top 25
Given many people say ACC is a two team conference, looks like Steele was facing above average ACC teams.

From a PR standpoint Dabo really had no choice but to let Steele go. It would have been interesting to see what he would have done with that young defense after a year of experience
Venebales of all people has plenty of epic gameplans, both great and infamous.

To put things in perspective, it is every bit as bad as running a base dime package against a flexbone triple option team.

I would be shocked if A&M has a higher rated defense at the end of the year in terms of total yards or points. If that happens, it either means Chavis worked a goddamn miracle and A&M won the SEC or Steele bombed even worse than I think he will and LSU lost 5-6 games.
LSU has better defensive players on the whole and runs an offensive scheme more conducive to taking pressure off the defense and reducing opportunities for the other team to score. It would take some seriously awful defense in Baton Rouge for A&M to surpass them in terms of raw numbers this year.
Yet a couple of your Aggie brothers have stated this week Aggie has the same talent and TOP doesn't matter? You frickers need to make up your damn minds! Lots of crow will be eaten when Steele has a better D than Chavis over the next 2-3 years
And LSU played the most freshman in the West last year and was litterally 2-3 plays from a 10 win season with no QB. Handed Bama a win in the last 2minutes/OT, officials missed the TD call against ND, Chavis got raped up the middle similar to MSST and Auburn

I think anyone with any football IQ can look at them and see they just need a QB to make 10-15 throws a game and they could compete for a NC this season. I like the Harris kid, I think he is a winner. It looks like a lot of people outside of LSU underestimate the guy.
No quarterback. Harris still doesn't know the playbook, which is incredible considering LSU has about four plays on offense.

Look at the track record
Non starters for LSU made rosters in the last few years. I know he wasn't a wr but I don't see you best player ever doing much in the nfl ever

I like the way you are thinking..... LSU fans been feeling this way ever since 1/9. Even Mett didn't impress me at crunch time. Harris certainly has the talent to elude defenders and throw the football. Les just needs to put him on the field for more than 1 game......

Bro, why does this fire you up so much? You have given this WAY too much thought for you not to be obsessed with LSU.

Because LSU needs to show they can put a QB out on the field this season that can complete a forward pass.

And yet they still own the Aggies every year

I know a Alabama fan did not mention overrated running backs

SEC defenses are going to load the box against LSU's running attack and dare their Qbs to beat them...which they cant. Last year being the perfect example of that. Sure they have an excellent defense...they normally do...hell they had the a top two defense last year and still got smoked in several games.
Harris has arm talent but a ten cent head. He scrambles out of the pocket too much and doesnt know when to trust his protection. Jennings is just a bad Qb, no way to sugar coat it. WRs are awesome as usual, but if they dont have a Qb that can consistently get them the ball, they will remain underutilized.
I still see an 8-9 win season for LSU next year

2007 - Perriloux arrested
2011 - Jefferson arrested
2015 - Jennings arrested
The season is just a formality at this point. LSU will be in the playoff.
