I don't care that he is gay. What I have a problem with is him and the media thinking everyone should have to witness them making out and rubbing cake on each other. It was disgusting and they could have just showed the first kiss and been done with it.

Here's my issue with all of this. Sam says he wants to be treated just like everyone else, then he allows ESPN and their cameras into his home to make a fricking spectacle of him. Name one other player in any draft who was drafted in the 7th round that had the national media in his home to film it. He's using the fact that he's gay for publicity. As far as his sexuality goes, he can bang dudes all he wants, but he's saying one thing and doing another. It comes off as disingenuous.

You assholes and this anti gay horseshite is really beginning to piss me off. It has nothing to do with "being" gay. Most people in the South, or anywhere else for that matter, don't give a damned if someone takes it up the arse. Yea that's the thing, if Sam wants it to be "about football and not his personal life" he needs to keep his personal life personal and just play football. He really needs to start thinking for himself and stop listening to the cause driven agents/managers he is surrounded by, who obviously are more about pushing his lifestyle as an agenda over the substance of his playing ability.
The media including the sports media is all about glamming on to the latest pc craze of social feelgoodism, and placing themselves on some moral pedestal of tolerance, much of which seems like phony self aggrandizement. I wouldn't hesitate to bet that most of these high and mighty media types make all sorts of bigoted remarks in private conversations, they just haven't been caught, yet, Sterling style.
Sports media types need to stay focused on sports, which most of them are barely qualified to report, much less speak on in terms of social issues.

You misinterpreted that. It wasn't directed at anything you said because nothing you said is accurate nor based on any facts. It's all hyperbole and emotional opinion.
Guess what NFL scouts don't care about? Hyperbole and emotional opinion. They care about facts. Fact is he wasn't a highly rated DE prospect.
