So Texas is able to sign an unlimited number of players? Look, Saban at Texas would be formidable, and there is no doubt that he could pull some kids that may otherwise go to LSU, but's let's not lose all sight of numbers and make ridiculous statements. I understand that even the remote possibility that he would leave makes Bama fans piss their pants and question the existence of God, but let's keep our eye on the ball.

Alabama gets 2 to 4 of LA's better players each year, do you really think it would be much of a stretch for CNS to pull 4, 6 or maybe even 8 out of LA to Texas? I don't, well maybe 8 is but that damn ball just keeps moving.

Never understood the logic of Saban leaving Bama/SEC for a weakassed, 10 gallon hat wearin', bovine humpin, shitty, pop-warner, girly-girl, sissified conference/university in texas.

Know how I know you don't follow recruiting? Saban wouldn't really have to leave his own state to recruit.

I follow it close enough to have a general idea about what is going on, it does not run my life. I know Texas puts out lots more big, slow and white D1 recruits than LA. I also know Mack Brown is a pretty good coach with a team full of these BS&W Texas players and geets spanked on a regular basis when he plays a power football team that can run. Saban is going to relay on what he knows and that is big and fast players usually comes from The south east.

All I am trying to say is on an average year CNS at Bama pulls 1 of you top 10 players and 2 or 3 more of your top 25ish. At Texas which according to most of the LSU faithfull is a much better job than Bama would absolutley rape LA's top 20 recruits.

You don't think he could get some prime Bama kids? Hmmm, look at that ball now.

Yes I believe he would, I have not been trolling, Saban to Texas would not be a good thing for the SEC IMO.

Bama would most likely still be able to come into Louisiana and get a few recruits every year

What??? If Saban leaves, he takes his LA connections with him. The recruits Bama would get from LA would not be the same ones we would be offering. Right now, Bama gets a look from our top talent because they want to play for Nick Saban, not Bama. If anything Arkansas would lose the LA kids they get from us in this scenario.

Dont kid yourself, if Saban leaves Bama will take a big hit. Not saying back to the Shula days but no where near where you are now. So the benefit of Saban leaving for LSU, and all the other SEC schools, is that we do not have to play his team in to make a NC year in and year out. We would just have to beat him the few years he brought Texas to the NC.

That being said, now way he leaves and this whole discussion is a non issue.

"I doubt Bama could get LA recruits without Saban"

What would really be funny is Lil Nicky cherry-picking aall the Bama recruits.

I don't understand why Saban would want to play patty-cake in a weak conference like that either?

Understood. My hatred for Bama runs so deep that I'm willing to see the SEC suffer if it means Bama suffers.

The only, and I mean only, reason I could see that would justify the move would be an ego boosting "I've rebuilt 3 programs and won Nattys at three separate schools." I don't see any other reason, not even money. He has enough of that already.

Saban at UT would immediately make aTm and Bama weaker... Why would we NOT want him gone?
