They are actively promoting Mettenberger for the Heisman due to his performance over UAB and Kent State. It's entertaining. I appreciate their fan enthusiasm.

Appreciate your response. I do agree that LSU seems to be more complete this year. I do believe your offense will be better. The defense I am not sure about yet. We know it will be solid, just not sure how they will compare to the last few years.

The same thing can be said about the alabama fan base Yall know the only thing standing in the way of the SEC championship game is LSU, the same way it has been for the past couple years.

Because Bama beats a top 10 team on the road, but it clearlt wasn't the way they "wanted" to win, and then starts 50+ threads about how they're better than us due to apparent insecurities.

Maybe u were reading a different board but all i saw was Bama fans rubbing it in Aggie face and LSU posting thread after thread about how bad we suck after beating a top 10 team.

LSU has won a boatload of games since 2009 with the biggest abortion of an offense known to mankind. Now we have an efficient pro-style offense that can move the chains and keep teams off balance. That MIGHT be the difference . I mean you are talking about a program that has won 23 games in two years before this year and stood toe-to-toe with everybody with Greg Studrawa running our offense. If we get a few bounces, somehow manage to beat Georgia (a big if) we have as good a shot as anybody.

I agree that LSU has won a ton of games since 2009. I have the utmost respect for what LSU has done. I just don't understand all the trash talk. I personally believe that teams like LSU, Alabama, Florida, SC, Georgia etc have proven that they are teams to be reckoned with. Playing in this league you can not take anyone for granted. I guess my point is that I personally believe that any of the great teams in the SEC can defeat anybody on a given day and that 3 weeks into the season is a little early for any of us to be hanging our BCS Championship flags out.

Come on man... Look, the Aggies are a good team. But you can leave the rest out. VT and aTm have beaten Rice, Sam Houston State, Western Carolina and Eastern Carolina.
People mess with people on sports message boards. Why do I always see tons of Bama fans commenting on the New Orleans newspaper web site on LSU stories and just trying to aggravate people?

Agreed. So many great athletes and teams in this conference. We need each other to make each other great. I only give other SEC posters here shite with the utmost of respect. And I really mean that.
