I am kind of tired of the geographical footprint being the driving force behind expansion. I know money drives everything, but I don't really want the SEC to lose its Southeastern identity. I would just rather have FSU and Clemson, than Virginia and NC State (or whatever) just for the sake of having a team in Virginia and NC.

We love Jacksonville, neutral site, tradition, better atmosphere than Athens, better hotels, less fleas, better resturants, less dogfood.

I know I wouldn't be making any more money for letting UVA in over FSU.
It's all about the matchups for me.

For the longest time Florida was also afraid of Miami....they used to get the shite kicked out of them

not a florida fan but i'm against letting fsu in.
They had their chance, they turned it down, why give them a second bite at the apple.
also this is a poor spin off flame thread from the why doesn't uf play ooc outside of florida.
I'll ask the same question in this thread i did in that one. Why do LSU fans continue to bitch about playing uf as their cross divisional 'rival' and then call florida scared?

Miami has a 2 game lead in the series (probably one after this year), not quite sure what your talking about.

Really digging up some ancient history here. What years were those games? BTW, the game has only been in Gainesville 3 times, and 4 times in Athens.

That doesn't make any sense, I've NEVER complained about LSU playing Florida, I love that series. UF pulled ahead in the 90's, I'm looking for LSU to pull back out in front of UF.
Until 1993 LSU had winning records vs all SEC teams except Alabama and UT. I'm looking for LSU to regain that advantage.

Uh, you do realize that game has mostly been played in JAX, right? Oh, and we dropped Fity two on UGA once in Athens, so I'd be all for it next time. We aren't "scared", but whatever helps you sleep at night.
