I really couldn't believe it at first. But usually the teams that lead the nation in rushing are option teams in weak conferences.

Which makes the feat all the more impressive. Auburn led the nation while playing in the best conference in college football.

They're both products of a system. Marshall's was hot potato behind the line of scrimmage. Jefferson's was hot potato behind the play calling.

exactly, we asked him to do things he clearly couldn't.

yes Chex it is impressive. Though it was a little of a down year in the SEC for Defenses IMO.

But QB play was incredible so it all depends on perpective.

nick marshall once threw for 300 yards right?

jefferson has never come close to that... hell, he was 3-10 for 30 yards against tennessee in 2010

he threw 4 TOTAL td's in a whole regular season... FOUR!

JJ by far was the worse of the 2.

do i think Marshal is a Heisman QB? dunno, this season hasn't started yet. he is a good QB for our system, and honestly that's what is important.

Marshall is a MUCH better QB than Jefferson ever could have hoped to be.

JJ was worse. Nick Marshall showed some intelligence on the field at times with his decisions and actually put up a fight. Also, Nick Marshall didn't soft toss the ball directly to a defender.
