Avery Johnson and keeping Nick Saban. Foley has made terrible decision after terrible decision this decade. What has uf won this decade? Nothing except memes.
Bill Battle has been on the job for two years.
What has UF won? Yep, you are indeed an idiot.
Maybe it will help (though I doubt you can be helped) to look at the job title, "Athletic Director". Not "Football Director".
Screw this thread and your future posts. You are dumb. You are not a Gator fan.

Yet not dumb enough to think the guy who said Alleva was serious.

I actually am a gator fan. Athletic director trophies are participation awards. UF hasn't won anything in almost a decade. Oh but those softball trophies or track titles! Besides their family who can name a player currently on a nonrevenue sport? Jeremy did great at hiring Billy D and making NR sports feel welcome but he destroyed UF football. The only saving grace is Mac has an easy schedule in 2016.

This, and men's ice hockey draws more national attendance then baseball. Wish mlb rules would change so more top talent played in college

after what's come out regarding the Miles saga. Alleva looks like a total clown.

That might be nice for college fans, but MLB couldn't care less about improving college talent. MLB would rather a 19 or 20 year old prospect, if he's good enough, be coached by their people, in their system, than by a college coach.

Yeah, ol' Foley was the toast of the media after his "brilliant" hire of Champ.
Now, he's just toast.
Also, isn't he the moron that requested Spurrier interview for the Zook replacement?
He's an OK AD IMHO.

LOL. Avery fell into our laps and Battle still almost missed him because he had his head so far up Gregg Marshall's arse. Avery pursued us. Not the other way around.
It all worked out for us, but we were one step away from having to hire some nobody and hoping for the best.

It's hard to imagine someone dissing Foley. Damn, UF is a monster in college sports. The football program is coming back. Cheer up.
The best AD in the nation may be at UK's arch rival. Louisville's Tom Jurich has been AD for 17 years and he has raised the school's stature from mid-major to P5. 20 years ago, that would have seemed an impossible job.
Our own AD, Mitch Barnhart, has made a couple of stupid hires in the Big 2 sports but he acted quickly when Billy Gillispie flopped. His hire of Joker Phillips still gets him a lot of hate, though.

Alleva is by far the worst. The rest are toss ups.

The vast majority of college athletic departments don't operate in the black like UF's does. The University Athletic Association does very well financially and gives back millions to the university every year, rather than being propped up by the university. UF has multiple SEC and national titles in a variety of sports under Foley's watch. UF typically finishes second only to Stanford in the Director's Cup, only because Stanford has so many more sports programs. I'd say Foley is doing a great job.

Ross Bjork
Before he got here in 2012, our program just went 0-fer in the SEC in football, hadn't made an NCAA tournament in a decade, and baseball was the only thing worth watching.
Since then, new facilities all over, budgets almost doubled, we've been to two NY6 bowls and 4 straight bowls, sec tournament champs in basketball and two NCAA appearances with wins in each, and CWS appearance two years ago. Every hire he has made in the smaller sports has led to success.
Nobody has a better resume in that same period across the board. If so, please name him.

Bjork is doing a great job at OM. The fact that he looks like a world beater probably has something to do with following Pete Boone. But we're lucky to have him, and we'll be lucky if he stays.

Eric Hyman is the worst. No hires or fires of any kind in 4 years.
