Who's run was more impressive, Skip Bertman or Nick Saban

Skip took over a program with no historical dominance and won 5 NC in 9 years and 11 World Series tournaments. Nick Saban has won 5 in 12 years with 2 schools, both of which he won only after a couple years as the HC. He's also made it to the college playoffs 2 out of 2 times. Is it tougher to do what Skip did in college baseball or what Saban has done in college football?

I give the nod to Saban because he's done it at two schools.

I would say Saban because he has done it in a sport people actually care about and watch.

Both are tGOAT in their respective sport, IMO. Equally impressive careers.

I don't know what kind of financial impact CNS had at LSU, but he has certainly brought hundreds of millions to UA. His impact is greater than the sport he coaches.

Nobody gives a frick about womens college bball but everyone would agree Pat Summit had and will still have a better resume' than Saban once he hangs it up.

I don't know about hundreds of millions, but Skip Bertman made our baseball program into a giant. So much so, that his legacy is LSU leading the NCAA in attendance for like 20+ years. And no one is close. That's a ton of money most schools don't get.

Its not nearly as popular as football on a national scale, but because of Skip, LSU baseball has fans all over the country…especially in Nebraska.

They are pretty comparable in their achievements/careers. One definitely is in a much higher profile sport.

he had a huge financial impact at LSU don't let anyone fool you otherwise. Skip had the same for us in baseball, turning it into a revenue sport which is damn near impossible to do.

One was selected by Forbes as one of the 50 greatest leaders in the world in any capacity, on a list that also included people like Tim Cook, Ryan Paul, and Pope Francis. The other is an unknown commodity outside regional fans of a niche sport. So you tell me which career has apparently impressed people more?

By LSU poster logic ITT, the Arky track coach is the most impressive.

To answer your question, a lot of sports fans, myself included don't even know who Skip Bertman is.

Just because one doesn't know about him has nothing to do with how impressive he is.

Google how impressive Leicester City is in the Barclays Premier League. I bet you've never heard about them.

Bertman was probably harder because baseball is so fluky.

Saban's is infinitely more impressive. No one even knows or cares who this Bretman fellow is.
