quote:you're nuts. And this is coming from a die-hard Gator whose dislike of LSU began last season after the lack of concern LSU fans showed over a huge threat to life and property in Florida. From a die-hard Gator who lucked out that his house wasn't destroyed while LSU fans made light of the possible threat we were facing and the huge stroke of luck that kept the hurricane away from our homes.
I would not even classify Fournette as that great of a RB.
Fournette is a great back. He is a unique talent that doesn't show up every year, to say the least.
He is great. Period.

Gentleman, meet scholar.
BTW, if you're looking for sympathy from LSU fans; you are a fool.

Even if I liked you I wouldn't want sympathy. I HATE UGA and FSU and Tenn and Miami, etc. etc. but I do NOT hate the LSU football team. I hate the LSU trolls on this site who were cheering for my home to get destroyed. I'm thankful that all the LSU fans I've actually met are good, decent people. Definitely not Ranters.
Fournette is still incredible. It's too bad LSU completely wasted his talent.

Mcfadden, while not necessarily living up to a 4th overall draft pick status, is still a 2× Leo bowler who when healthy In his prime was a very good nfl running back even on a shitty Oakland team with a bad oline and no pass threat and he was ran into the ground in college by Houston dale. He had way more carries than even your boy at this time. Fournette may turn out to be great, but first let's see what type of team he goes to because we both know that matters and let's have him make a few pro bowls before we say he's gonna be better in the nfl because he damn sure wasn't better in college

Typically the lower number is faster.... does Arky even have a math department???

No no. This thread was for your Louisiana colleagues who wanted to debate this. That is what I said as well. The lower number is faster that's how math works but some of them just couldn't get it. Thanks for proving my point

Why did you edit the original post and switch the players to dmac getting upvote and fournette getting downvote. The debate would he settled by now.

Who is dmac?
DMac is an all time great SEC running back. On the other hand, Leonard Fournette is more akin to the greatest that never was.

Well head to head Fournette had a better season than McFadden ever did in college so he was better than him in that aspect.

One. Great. Season. does. Not. A. Career. Make. Leonard Fournette is in the same conversation as Tre Mason. Darren McFadden is in the same conversation as Bo Jackson and other all time greats.

We discussed this, Tre Mason isnt in the conversation either, not as good. McFadden actually had a better year in 2007 than Mason.
Only one player had a better season than Fournette in the history of the SEC and it was Derrick Henry. The same year.
Throughout his "career" fournette has higher averages nearly accross the board. When Fournette is in the game he is more effective than Dmac. Even with an incompetent les miles offense.

Dmac has gotten over 30 upvote since the switch. Sorry

So since they had a better single season do you think fournette and Henry are better than Herschel and bo?

Dmac was a beast no denying that. You piggies squandered his talent worse than Miles squandered LF's talent.
Arkansas was pretty close to playing for the national title in 2006. They couldn't cover a kickoff against LSU and played a bad fourth quarter against Florida. Their talent wasn't squandered.

Dude, you are such a sore loser. Fournette was clearly having more upvotes by a large margin before you switched the OP. You should have been an ole miss fan.

In a single season, yes. Not that hard to figure that out
