Auburn seniors are 1-3 against State.
Ouch.
Ouch.

There's no excuse for Auburn to be playing playing the way they are. There has to be something going on chemistry/locker room wise to explain this.
Let's be clear, I hope they never win another game but they've got way too much talent to be outclassed by MSU. No disrespect to the bulldogs, but they haven't recruited nearly as well as Aubie has the last 5 years.

a mediocre State team.
This is where we part company. I would not be at all surprised to see State beat Alabama this year.

Auburn's redzone offense this year reminds me of how Oregon's redzone offense has always looked against good defensive lines. They get too "creative" in the redzone when they need to just push the ball in.

Yep. Last night falls squarely on play calling. We killed ourselves.

It isn't just this year. An inability to score touchdowns in the redzone played a huge part in losing to State and Bama last year. Auburn had the ball inside State's 20 yard line something like 6 times last year and only scored two touchdowns

Auburn had the ball inside State's 10 yard line 4 times. Just can't score touchdowns in the redzone. If you look at the 7 losses Auburn has last year and this year, an inability to score touchdowns in redzone played a huge part in least half of those

Can we all face the fact 2 of the best QB's perhaps ever for his offense basically fell in to his lap.
Newton and Marshall also had a year of JC to get experience to perfect their skills.
Without either of these guys I don't think he gets his vaunted reputation as an offensive guru.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Alabama beat LSU for the 5th time in a row... State is mediocre. They are good, but not great. Hell Alabama up until now is mediocre.

Is this why Bama and Kiffin have moved more to a spread philosophy? This kind of trolling worked better when y'all had Mac coaching the offense.

And that is why the Tide will prolly lose to both State and LSU this year.

In HS yes. Make no mistake, the Only reason he ever got a shot in the college ranks was because Nutt wanted Mustain bad enough to bring Malzahn along as a package deal.

And about 3 other players. But of course he failed miserably as an offensive coordinator when he got to the college ranks, right?

Will prolly** haha keep dreaming. We own LSU literally

Barring injuries, LSU will beat Alabama. The "prolly" was for State.
I would not be surprised at an 8-5 year for Alabama.

This was basically Game fricking 1 all over again. Steady improvement from here on out will happen.
It's always game 1 when Auburn sucks.

Hate to steal bama's excuse but we beat ourselves. The stats say as much. More rushing yards, more first downs, dominated time of possession, more total yards...drive killing penalties and two red zone turnovers did it. Such is life. We look poorly coached on offense. Did Gus forget how to coach? Time will tell.
