Co-champs with Georgia in '76 after State's forfeit. Went undefeated in the SEC in '77 but wasn't eligible for the post-season and championship because of probation.

So basically, we just have to cheat a little better.

If Ole Miss comes out of all this unscathed, I'll say them.

Since that won't happen, I'm leaning towards aggy.

Arky - will never happen until Bert is gone, and then they might be worse.

South Carolina - Nope.

Mizzou - No safe space trophies to be had, and the East is finally waking up.

Aggy - meh.

Kentucky - nope.

Vandy - Nope.

Ole Miss - If not this year (which won't happen), then it could be a while.

State - Full fledged nope.

Missouri and Arkansas have come the closest of all since 1992.

(2013 and 2006)

Nobody else ever sniffed one, except State in 1998

State has been the closest among all of those to actually winning one. Had a lead on Tennessee late in the 4th quarter in the '98 SEC CG and then Tee Martin and Peerless Price woke up.

Carolina, Arkansas and Mizzou have all been multiple times with some of the worst beatdowns in the game's history.

I figure one of these years, Aggy or Ole Miss will sneak up and win the West, then lose to the East champ in Atlanta.

I give Arkansas a 25% chance in the next 4 years.

Does that have any impact on the projection going forward though?

So we agree on the teams with the best chance. If one of those teams makes it through the west, I like their chances in the game.

Ole Miss came closer than either of those. You never stood a chance in the title game.

We tied for the division with the national champions. In a game we actually had an opportunity to win. And, unlike you, we would have been favored in the title game instead of a hopeless underdog.
