Actually looking at some of this is encouraging in a way. The perception is that the Georgia backs are given a lot of carries, while LSU ones share the load a lot more. But in 2013, J. Hill had 203 carries (despite not playing the first few games) while Gurley had 165 carries (was he hurt or something?)

Maybe Les will rely on LF7 and not so much rbbc =)

So in your opinion, WHAT exactly would it take for you to say "ya know what, chubb is better than fournette". Honestly, what would it take? 2,500 yards rushing? A heisman?

Seriously, it's time to let this go. LSU fans will admit that Chubb put up better numbers in 2014, but hardly any of us will admit that Chubb is unequivocally the better back.

Are you guys going to act indignant and get butthurt in every single thread related to RBs?

Stats don't tell all. Chubb didn't have to play against Alabama, Ole Miss, or Mississippi State.

Fournette could have better numbers though. He's faster, stronger, and lighter. He's got better measurables than Chubb.

Auburn fans here tried to say that Mason was better than Hill a year ago, just because he had more yards. We've seen how that's gone.

It's WG. To him, it's not enough for us to admit that Chubb had a better 2014. We also need to say that Chubb is far and away a better running back.

Better measurables? Mighty want to check some sparq numbers out. Chubb is a physical freak.

No doubt, but this is Fournette we're talking about.

In what way? Remember though, stats don't tell all. That way I can dismiss whatever evidence you present in favor of my own biases.

LINK

Chubb bested LF in all 3 of the events both participated in. In fact, he had the best numbers of anyone at the camp not named speedy noil.

I guess the same way he is a better RB:

Well that's simply false. For starters, you don't need to admit chubb was better in '14 because that's a stone cold fact. I have gone on record many times saying the LF has more potential, and could end up being one of the better SEC backs in a while by the time it's done, but that's not what this conversation is about. I've also never said anyone has to claim anyone is "far and away" better either.

What I think is hilarious is how yall go into DEFCON defense mode over such simple questions. Here was the very simple, non-offensive series of posts that got both of yall riled up:

quote:

I fully expect Chubb to have better numbers again this year. I also dispute the notion that this automatically means Chubb is a better running back.

quote:

So in your opinion, WHAT exactly would it take for you to say "ya know what, chubb is better than fournette". Honestly, what would it take?

Pretty easy question, right? No attacks, no name calling, no baiting...a simple question asking what it would take. And yet, yall can't even put forth an honest answer. I mean, it's not like I'm personally attacking yall or LSU. Hell, UGA fans went through teh same thing recently. Staff and tebow came out of the same class and were both highly ranked. But nah, Stafford was clearly better, kiper said he'd be the #1 pick while he was still in HS. 06 was shaky, but tebow came off the bench and didn't have to do much, we'd take staff. 07 tebow put up numbers and won a heisman, but did you see his throwing motion and the weapons around him? Stafford led us to a #2 ranking, we'll take stafford. And by the time it was all said and done after the 08 season, even though stafford was setting some school passing records for us, most UGA fans could at that point say "ok, well yeah...alright it looks like Tebow is probably the better QB". At that point, it was just too hard to deny anymore.

That's all I was asking. What it would actually take for you (wadewilson) to say that chubb is better. Pretty easy question.
