Corey Grant led the SEC in in ypc in 2013, by a 2+ yard margin. 647 yards on 66 carries.

If you want to ignore that he didn't have enough carries, then he's actually nowhere close to the YPC leader in 13.

Stop. For the love of god, stop. Please. At least take 2 seconds and go through pages 2 and 3 in order to see the 50 other Chubb and Fournette threads. At least then I know you're just a shite poster who doesn't give a f*ck.

Are you saying Nick chubb broke the sec record with his 7.1 ypc last year?

I didn't realize this lol, but yes with 219 carries Chubb is now the all-time record holder. The previous record was set only 2 years ago by Jeremy Hill who broke G. Hearst's record set in 1992.

Hmmm there is a pattern here...GA, LSU, GA, .... =)

This wasn't meant to be another Chubb/Fournette thread exactly.

G Hearst- Played on a 10 win team
Hill- Played on a 10 win team
Chubb- Played on a 10 win team

LSU (lf)- oooohhhh, sorry man. Not gonna make the cut

cfbstats.com lists him as the leader and requires that a player play in 75% of the teams games and average a minimum of 4.0 attempts per game played. FWIW

Tell him not to be a douche and run all over us and we won't have this issue. Deal?

I would pick Chubb or one of the Hogs. 2 things really hurt Fournette's average. He carried on a lot of short-yardage plays a year ago. The biggest issue is he returns kickoffs and then goes immediately into the backfield. Don't care what kind of shape you're in, running back a kick-off and taking a handoff a minute later because you're QB's are not adept at the play-action game do not allow the back to produce his best effort. If Fournette is going to be asked to continue the kick-off returns, I wish they'd let Williams or Guice start the series off. Good way to get a guy hurt also. But even if the coaches make a change their I'd still think Chubb has the avg. per carry advantage for now.

He was also a true freshman. Give him time.

It really depends on how well the line gels early in the season.

I fully expect Chubb to have better numbers again this year. I also dispute the notion that this automatically means Chubb is a better running back.

lol

So in your opinion, WHAT exactly would it take for you to say "ya know what, chubb is better than fournette". Honestly, what would it take? 2,500 yards rushing? A heisman?
