UGA should have finished higher with that run game.
Yea, but did you see our QB? He choked at the end vs SC, he was horrid vs UT, and he didnt do a thing vs UF until the game was out of reach.

Kind of hard too when you play GT and they average 350 rushing yards a game. It skews everything.

and UT doesn't have to play Ole Miss this year, another reason for UT fans to furiously fap. congrats on a great win of the offseason. football begins in 3 weeks.

But back to the original question, UGA will have the best defense and it won't be close. We will be at least 10 spots higher than the rest of the East (we will go by SEC games only). UF will probably be second, then Mizz and probably Kentucky next. Yep I don't think I'm forgetting anyone.

Who is UF's DC?
Geoff Collins, who was at Miss State last year. I think right now its:
1A. UGA
1B. UF
2A. Mizzou
2B. Tennessee

Why would he throw that in?

I don't get his comment I don't think anyone knows what UGA's QB will look like this year.

Yep, because people never improve. And Mason wasn't shitty, he was just average. Hell, he may have been a better qb but we didn't get a chance to find out because he was handing the ball off all the time.

Seeing as how we had the best defense out of the 3 last year, with by far the toughest schedule from an offensive opponent perspective, and have one of the best LB corps in the country.....I'm gonna go with UGA
UM.... What? Not only did you have a worse defense but Florida faced significantly better offensive teams- Bama, FSU and ECU vs. What Auburn? Just because you made Florida look like a dominant unstoppable running team doesn't mean we were any good.

I only know two of them. That Tells me that they aren't that good. Maybe next year!
I've only slightly heard of one member of your secondary - Sutton, he might be able to break into the two deep or even split time at Nickel back.

Yeah...the same qb that Greg McElroy kept pimping all preseason last year...saying he had strong arm (didnt) and could throw the out routes (couldnt).
Our game plan was simple...stop UGA run game and make Mason beat us (couldnt).....he completed passes once it was 38-7 late in the game and we loosen up into the proverbial prevent D.

UGA, minus a couple of games, had a good D last year in the first year of a new staff and absolutely cleaning house in the secondary (T. Matthews, Harvey-Clemons, and Wiggings just to name a few). Expect a big year from the Dawgs D in year w under Pruitt and an overall talent upgrade.
UF will be solid for sure but first year staff will cause enough bumps in the road to keep them from claiming the top spot.

Will not count out Missouri, based on recent past performance. Will not take Tennessee seriously until performance on field counters years of past performance. UGA at least had an upswing on D last year, giving us reason for optimism.

Our defense will be good. Back 7 is salty and littered with NFL talent. Probably Pinkel's best. Experience, depth and talent.
The DL is a bit concerning though. Light on depth and experience. Took a lot of hits from last years team. The good thing is though, this is Coach Kul's group and he's as good as it gets.

And how exactly did we not have an upswing on D? We improved by about 20 spots from 2013 and are expecting the same kind of improvement in 2015 to somewhere in the teens for scoring D.
