Bama is 8 ypg better than Auburn and Eastern Michigan. What's the line for worth a shite and not worth a shite?

No one is going to run for much on Bama. On the other hand LSU's defense is suspect.

Bama was only able to rush for 2.8 YPC against Tennessee.

Well that takes in consideration the sacks Coker took.

Henry ran pretty much all over UT and out gained them rushing.

Basically because of how good Bamas front 7 is.

Their front 7 isn't up to their normal standards. Granted, Alabama standards surpass that of just about any CFB team.

You realize if Fournette put up those numbers it would be a season low.

seriously though. I mean, I like LSU's o-line a lot. Bama's d-line/ run defense however, might be the best unit in the country.

SAY WHAT???? I guess all those pro scouts are just pulling our collective legs about the Bama DL talent.

Now I know you are a delusional homer. LSU has 1 good/great all around DL player in Godchaux (sp?) and a good pass rusher in Keys. At best this is a wash.

Figures that you would think a thread worthy of discussion is "terrible".

You must be miserable.

Prayers given.

And there's NFL scouts drooling over Hawkins, Pocic, and Alexander.

Alabama's OL got their shite pushed in by Tennessee's DL. LSU has Lac, Godchaux, Neal, Key, Bower, Gilmore, Herron. All productive players and play the run extremely well. Debo Jones and Beckwith are going to feast on the whiffed blocks. Alabama's OL will be exposed.

Here's the problem with those stats --

Tennessee's rush defense gives up 162 yards per game this season. They held Henry to less than their season average regardless of the sacks.

Thanks to Alabama they moved up to the #10 rushing defense in the SEC passing up Kentucky in the process.

Has nothing to do with what was posted. Lsu fan post Bama was held to 2.8ydspr and I posted what Henry had. Take out the sacks and look at actual rushing play yardage and it is a lot better than what the Lsu fan implied.

I have yet to read anything about scouts drooling over them. Wait...I may have read something about Alexander being a potential draftable guard. However, I have read about scout liking Bama's center and Cam Robinson though.

Stats don't always tell the story, but you can usually draw some decent conclusions from them.

This is one of those matchups of teams so evenly balanced that the outcome is often decided subjectively.

Just think about how many times replay reviews and penalties have significantly affected the outcome both ways. I think you could argue this in all but one game the last decade.

LSU has a pretty good front 7. so I'm not sure where the rush defense criticism is coming from. Beckwith is a 2nd-3rd rounder, barring injury, and Deion Jones likely makes an NFL roster. Gilmore/Lac/Godchaux/Herron have been very good for us as well.

Derrick Henry faces the weaker defense, but Leonard Fournette is obviously the better player.

I think it ends up being pretty close.

All true. I could even see Henry get more yards despite LF being the better back because right now Bama has nobody behind him whereas LSU has quality depth.

Henry is getting a good bit more carries than a normal Bama feature back - 32 against TAMU.

Of course it doesn't mean a lot for the game in terms of how it plays out...but the fact is that LSU has the better OL, the better QB, and the better WR's....so that gives LF7 a huge advantage already....not even factoring in the actual talent difference between Henry and LF7 themselves. I don't really care who has more yards, as long as the good guys win.
