Vanderbilt is the only logical school that would build new.

TCU's stadium is fantastic. Great place to watch a game (unless you're baking during a September game) and perfect size for them. Agree that Vandy may not have the demonstrated need for it, but TCU renovated in place, so the model could work.

Evil demons, or you may know them as the Ingram family, are working with the liberal democrat city of Nashville to try and convince Vandy to move football to the new soccer team's stadium they are going to build in an area where nobody cares to go.

Hopefully wiser people will prevail as this would be great for the soccer team and terrible for Vanderbilt football.

Williams Brice Stadium - South Carolina

We're not going to build a new one. But I think the plans for addition/renovation will come out in the next 5 years. A lot of the AD money is tied up in improving everything else at the moment. Then we can talk about what to do with Willy B.

And honestly, when you look at Williams-Brice, where the hell are you putting new seats? There is no space for them. Unless you build them around the Beast Board, there is nowhere else you could put seats.

We seat roughly 82-83k, and bigger for a big game. I honestly don't think we even need it. Facelifting and making shite nicer, go for it. Expansion probably isn't feasible in the next decade.

It's not the number of seats it's the kind of seats you add that will make a difference. WBS IIRC has 18 suites, which is ahead of only Vandy in this conference. And Vandy has none.

You don't want to build an expansion like this...

...because there is no need to for more bleacher seats. That's old school. What you want is something like LSU built...

...an addition that will add suites, club seating, general seating, and SRO space. The fans up top can stand in line for concessions and still see the action on the field.

Something like that.

How many armchair seats does Tiger Stadium have or plan to have?

You can do this at Kyle as well...

You want to build it like that if you want to get to 102k and keep it affordable for the recent grads who only want to dish out $550. You also use bench to fit more in. No one wants to use armchair if it means sitting even farther away when you're already in the nosebleeds. Plus we're looking to the future. Our alumni base is growing at a faster rate than anyone else's.

You build this for the millionaires who want full bars, fine dining, grand pianos, fireplaces, mahogany walls, Rich leather chairs, and a wait staff that'll make the service at the Ritz jealous.

When will Auburin expand their stadium?
I don't think they would do a tear down but an increase to 100,000 would be reasonable.
