These don't happen much anymore. We build new arenas and baseball stadiums, but football stadiums are generally renovated/added on to, not built from scratch. Vanderbilt has discussed a new stadium, but it far from a sure thing.

2. Jordan-Hare Stadium - Auburn (1939)
3. Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium - Arkansas (1938)
4. Williams-Brice Stadium - South Carolina (1934)
5. Florida Field - Florida (1930)
"Newest" Brand New Power 5 Football Stadiums
1. McLane Stadium (Baylor) (2014)
2. TCF Bank Stadium (Minnesota) (2009)

Please don't call it Kroger Field, I beg you

Not Arkansas with the updates we are building atm, that will be completely done for the 2018 season.

I'm guessing it would be Vanderbilt, but I don't know that there is any suitable real estate available that would make sense. They would probably have to tear it down and build anew and play at the Titans stadium for a year or two, which seems unlikely.

With three expansions, LSU has basically built a new stadium on top of the old stadium even demolishing an existing structure to put in suites and amenities.
They probably should have renovated the original stadium and at some point I think they will have to.

A&M basically built a new stadium right? Similar to the Yankee Stadium "renovation" of the 1970s that actually just produced a 90% new structure that occupied the same space as the old one (and both teams treat it as if it was the same old stadium for marketing purposes).
When a college team figures out how to make the municipality pay for it (taxpayers, rather), then we will see brand new stadia for SEC teams, A&M's recent rebuild excepted. Most of the cities of SEC schools couldn't actually float this so it probably won't happen.

The one that NEEDS to be updated/renovated/replaced is Vanderbilt Stadium...

The whole stadium wasn't rebuilt, but the South & West sides probably make up about 50,000 seats and they were built from the ground up.

If you combine the above, it still less than A&M's renovation.

What's Vandy gonna do? They don't have the fanbase to demand a new stadium. They could update their current one, but I just don't really see the point.
I think the next stadium to get massively renovated is going to be South Carolina

At least when UK fans enter the stadium they provide y'all with either paper or plastic bags to cover their heads with for free.

Following the Texas private school model. Build a smaller, nicer stadium.
TCU before and after (44,300 to 45,000)
BU before after (50,000 to 45,140)
Yes, that is ~75% maroon

With all of the older stadiums (and most of the conference) recently having undergone massive, multi-million dollar renovations, I don't see any schools outside maybe Vandy building a new stadium, and they don't have a need for one either. I wouldn't expect to see anyone build a new stadium for at least 25 years, if ever.

That gif is such an apt visual for the Aggies stretch run in the West every year. Perfect.
