This should be Georgia's year, on paper.

Figure LSU and Bama will have trouble repeating last year's success.

Problem for Georgia is they always find a way to screw the pooch.

But I know one of these years, the planets will align.

Maybe this is the year...

I'm not saying Mayans, but...

Mayans!

Another way to put it is you're the only one of the Big 6 to not have won the BCGNC

CMR teams seemed to have more fire in there belly in the early and mid 00's, my perception anyway. If they can recapture that I'd give the nod to UGA.

UGA should have 2 crystal balls by now with all their inherent advantages. Very large population, no big instate competition for best recruits (Sorry GaTech fans), huge alumni base, large athletic budget, etc.

UGA is actually in a better spot in recruiting than UF, in a sense. A strong FSU and Miami would take a little away from the Gators. A strong UGA should have the pick of litter, no matter what. Much like UT(Longhorn type).

as much as I like Mark Richt, he'll never win a NC. you can take that to the bank.

Georgia would have to go through a tough west team in sccg and i dont know if they can do it with Richt, who is a great coach but seems to have lost a step. Now saying that, i do realize USCe also has the same problem but they have Spurrier. USCe dont have many years left with spurrier though,so they need to get it done really soon, unless their next coach is someone great. I give aTm a slight edge over arkie.

Eh, not recently, but Richt is 2-2 in the game(although the first one was against a pretty weak Arky.) I really wish we could have had that shot against LSU in 2007.

I think we could pull off an upset if we got Bama or LSU this year. We hung with LSU until TM7 swung the momentum last year and if we actually had a shot for the title, the Dome would be 75%+ Georgia fans and crazy loud.
