Saban isnt going to Texas. Alabama would match any amount the Horns put out. What would be more odd to me is if Bob Stoops was offered to go to Texas I think Oklahoma would let him go. That being said Texas is probably glad Muschamp is no longer their coach in waiting. One to watch for Texas opening is Hugh Freese (sp). His recruiting prowess and seems like good schematics. Ole Miss definitely couldn't match a Texas offer.

Toledo game got you worried so you can't you wait until January to post this?

Saban is almost 62 years old. No way he would want to take on another rebuilding project when he has Bama at the top right now. His next move is retirement.

make no mistake UT$>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bama$
when it comes to big money backing an institution, NO ONE comes even close to the oil funds.

UT will not even offer Saban.

He didn't say that. He said Bama would match anything that UT offered.

Saban will leave when he retires. Please stop.

When it comes to a program that values money over achievement:
Texas>>>>>>>>>>>Bama
UT ain't matching Bama in a bidding war.

if they want him, they will match the $.....the Horns elite are VERY unhappy right now. Mack is gone, BUT they will likely focus more on a realistic target. Though I cite $, its more about the Saban family and Terri wanting to settle down. Saban will retire at Bama, but not because of money.

Why does chicken continue to allow you to post?

You never get tired of this? Serious question.

Saban stays unless Saban is bored, in which case money would just be the icing on top, not the reason.

Some Texas boosters are interested but the ones that matter don't look favorably upon Saban. Basically he would demand full control and that isn't going to happen. USC could make a run but I don't see Pat doing that.
It will be interesting to see how all of this turns out as these two jobs are likely to open up and they are going to go after an established HC with a good record.
Maybe Auburn can talk them into Chizik, I hear he has an MNC and is free.

UT has more money than UA but people seem to forget that Mack Brown and Nick Saban are good friends. Do you really think Saban would leave for a position that one of his best friends in the coaching business was just fired from?
