Mizzou wasn't a mid-level Big 12 team the years before it left the Big 12. The actual year before it left maybe, but that is overlooking the five years before. It wasn't the top program, but it was in the top 3.

Were I to use your logic, I would say Missouri should've lost to USCe and aTm. I am not going to do so, as it is extremely flawed logic.

I will agree with that statement, as there is some evidence in support of that line of thought.
