Exactly, just like OM will always the premier uni in Mississippi.

That's not really saying much though.

UT always has and always will 'own' the state of Texas. That's why aTm HAD to finally get out of the Big 12 and come to the SEC.

Wrong...UT owned the Big 12-2+2, or at least the purse strings. Their selfish way is their undoing in progress.

Don't bother, Bogie. It's entertaining to read the commentary from this collective brain trust of Lone Star State experts.

Of course, you are correct. Conference is now Big 12-2+2-2

Doesn't he have a pretty good record against A&M?

Yes, definitely. But all bad things must come to an end... or something. Mack has had great success against A&M, no doubt about it. I'd start bitching about Fran and Sherman but that would be whining. Other than the '12 record the harbinger of change is recruiting. I don't recall A&M beating UT in that particular game since RC Slocum's better days.

That's not to discount UT's chances. Money, money, and more money, plus a very long tradition of winning. And I'm not ready to declare that he's a washout. But he does seem to be out of sorts with OU consistently embarrassing him and the problems associated with the LHN and now A&M kicking his butt at recruiting. Should be an interesting few years coming up.
