Anybody can win at UCLA. MSU is a different place. Doesn't recruit itself.

The hope is that much money may lure Marshall. I have my doubts. Smart is said to have shown intrest and could be the next guy up after Marshall. If we were able to pull a huge splash name they would get a lot of money. If we are not, I don't think you will see a salary quite that high.

Except they can't. They had two final fours since Wooden retired before Howland took them to three straight. Also haven't done much since Howland left.

Whoever pays significantly more, so my guess would be Bama.

I have definitely been wrong before about coaching hires...but I would think Marshall has had better offers than Alabama. That would make me doubt him going to Alabama.

IF Alabama landed either Marshall or Smart, what would the negative remarks about Alabama be then?

Probably State. Fans have more interest and passion in basketball than Ala does.

I asked a simple hypothetical question. Anything Bama does will get negative feedback, so what would that feedback be?...what's your response?

Hypothetically speaking of course as we all know that whoever Bama lands will get criticized and bashed mercilessly.

So what will the negative comments for a guy like Marshall/Smart be if they were to come to UA?

You do realize that Tuscaloosa is just down Hwy. 82 from Starkville right? I'm mean there's a few ant hills worth of difference in the lay of the land. Actually more like one.

Please don't attempt to compare Starkville to Tuscaloosa...it'll make anything else you say worthless...just saying.

Both would be great hires, but neither one is happening so why discuss it?
