I'm gonna go with South Carolina. To me they are playing the best team ball right now. Is there a darkhorse who can win 4 in a row?

I could see Florida putting together a run. The homer in me says I hope it's SC.

They'll be the first ever 16 seed from a power conference.

My mind says Auburn or Tennessee but those two don't fare well on the road or neutral site. At home both are money. I think it's gonna be a good tournament and very competitive.

Tennessee is the best team in the league, and should be the favorite, IMO. Texas A&M is also playing good ball right now, and I think they’re a sleeper pick.

That’s a lot of games I’m a short time period to shoot well. Most consistent shooting team is prob Tenn.

Of those two my pick would be Auburn because they are coached by Bruce Pearl and Tenner is coached by Rick Barnes.

I would say no to this. Bombing out early of the SEC T is a Carolina speciality, regardless of record (something that carries into baseball ). I guess we’ve made a couple of finals but lost both.

Plus, we have a pretty tough final 7 games. I think we’ll be in good shape but not exactly rolling like we are now.

Whoever is on the bubble will need to make a deep run. I’ll keep an eye on a healthy State.

Alabama is scary if they can play any defense at all.

Auburn was the most consistent until last Saturday but the lack of veteran point guards scares me.

Think UT has the best squad overall

true darkhorse this year is gonna have to come from one of the teams below Mississippi State in the current standings - I don't see one of those 5 teams winning 4 in 4 (or 5 in 5) beating any mix of the teams above them - league is too good 1-9 this year -

Tennessee will have the most fans in Nash outside of Kentucky - Vols the current favorite -

So SC's remaining schedule is comprised completely of teams that are all dark horses to win the tourney?

That is why we shouldn't be a dark horse to win the tourney.

Gamecocks may finish the regular season with 24-25 wins ... but they're going-to-be worn to a nub doing so.

If they get two tourney wins, along with a bye, and then get out and wait for the selection committee .... they'll be doing themselves a favor.
