Yeah and more than 50% of Garrett's sacks came against OOC opponents such as Rice and Lamar.

FYI, Barnett has recorded sacks against Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Northwestern in his career. He's accumulated a lot of his stats against very good teams.

Going off potential it's Jon Allen who has unreal potential going into this season. Key is nothing but a poor mans Myles Garrett.

Im not saying he's not any good, he just ranks below these other players. Sorry. It's a reasonable ranking for the reasons I listed. I don't feel like going down the reasons again.

I see a lot of LSU fans mentioning Key. Why the lack of production last year? Was he hurt?

Maybe you should learn about a thing they call "stats" before you open that hole in your face that is called a mouth. Just saying.

I am not saying that Key is the best my no means but he is one to keep on the radar. Allen and Williams will be studs, how in the hell did Alabama talk both into returning is pretty remarkable after just winning a NC. Neal could have a damn good year with the attacking that Aranda will bring. Garrett needs to get stronger and will be as good as he wants to be which could be great.

You are the idiot that said no way in hell that Allen and all these other players come back for another title run at Bama. You have proven yourself a fool who doesn't know a damn thing about the opinions he shares as fact.

Everything you post on here is worthless and no one takes what you say seriously. You just basically guaranteed Key will be worthless next year as you have been wrong about everything you have posted. You are Peej tier.

40 PERCENT of his sacks came against UK and VANDY!

How is this in any way reasonable when 68% of Garrets sacks came against OOC opponents and South Carolina?

Barnett is by far the best according to Pro Football Focus. Second to only Bosa, nationally.

First Team: Joey Bosa, Ohio State +66.6 and Derek Barnett, Tennessee +45.6

Our top-graded edge defender for the second straight year, Bosa’s combination of pass rushing and run stopping ability is unmatched at the position. His +45.2 pass rush grade leads the nation as he picked up seven sacks, 21 hits, and 41 hurries on only 344 rushes while his +26.0 grade against the run also leads the position while ranking sixth among 4-3 defensive ends in run stop percentage at 9.2 percent. Bosa is the nation’s most disruptive defensive player and likely a top-10 pick in the NFL draft.

While Bosa was a clear selection, Barnett held off a number of close challengers as the second tier of edge defenders is very deep. The true sophomore is forever linked with classmate, Myles Garrett, as they both took the SEC by storm as freshmen last season. Barnett finished third in the nation with a +35.6 pass rush grade (nine sacks, 10 hits, 37 hurries on 369 rushes) while posting a +11.6 grade in the run game. His +41.4 mark against Power-5 competition ranked second only to Bosa and was the differentiator when putting him on the first team.

Second Team: Myles Garrett, Texas A&M and Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State

Honorable Mention: Joe Schobert, Wisconsin; Charles Harris, Missouri; Leonard Floyd, Georgia; Vince Biegel, Wisconsin; Dawuane Smoot, Illinois; Carl Nassib, Penn State; Shilique Calhoun, Michigan State; Kyler Fackrell, Utah State; Dean Lowry, Northwestern; Shaq Lawson,

Average tackle, TFL and sack numbers per year of meaningful snaps:
(it's safe to assume that for each player, some stats were accumulated vs good teams, and others vs bad teams)

Barnett (71/16.5/10)

Garrett (54/16/11.25)

Allen (34/12.75/8.5)

Haynes (37/12.75/8.75)

Neal (43/8.5/7)

Wise (20.3/5.5/4)

Harris (37.5/11.25/4.5)

Brady (39/11.5/7)

Hall (36/7.5/3.5)

Barnett's stats are the best in the group in the first two categories, and a close second to Garrett in the sack category. And someone is trying to argue that Barnett is the WORST player in this group?!

bullshite.

Yes, he is. Allens stats are as low as they are for several factors such as having teammates that make tackles and his defense actually getting off the field.

Fill me in on how they formulate these lists, then?

So looking at those stats, you still think that Barnett is worse than EVERY other player on that list?

If you honestly do, you are an incurable kind of stupid.

The grades are not cumulative based on quantity.

You are one dumb motherfricker, huh?
