Poor LSU. We hired Studrawa's sorry arse over Henson as OL Coach when he pressed Les to take the next step in his career from TE Coach to OL Coach. We see what happened.

He was also a high quality recruiting coordinator. I love our staff as it currently stands and I think we have a better OC than Josh in Cam Cameron, and an OL Coach in Grimes. But he was a quality guy that would've been so much better as an OC or OL Coach the past few years when we suffered at both spots.

why the hell is Lane Kiffin #7? What has he done to warrant that? That's way way too high IMO.

Well he's with bama now. That's an automatic 3 or 4 spot bump in any rankings.

Rhett Lashlee should be dead last and Kiffin should be ~6th with Chaney ~5th.

I thought he was the Head Coach. Is he the Offensive Coordinator now?

I look at this list like I do with DC's. Chavis is good at LSU like he was at UT, but Kirby Smart no one knows if he is really THAT involved or if Saban is calling the shots. Same way with Lashlee, no one knows if Malzahn is giving him rein or calling the shots. Kiffin really hasn't shown me he's worth the fuss.JMO

My understanding about Lashlee is that he runs the day to day stuff, does all the gameday planning. Not sure how much play calling he does during games though.

I didn't know Jim Chaney is at Arkansas. I remember him having really good offenses at Purdue. He ran a spread, so I wonder how his philosophy will clash with Bielema's running attack.

Chaney was Joe Tiller's "Rhett Lashlee".

Joe Tiller was one of the best innovators of the "spread". Jim Chaney was under his wing for all those years at Wyoming and Purdue but it's hard to tell how much rubbed off.

This except it's 1a and 1b. Cameron's track record is as impressive and anyone's and unless last year was just a flash in the pan he's going to put up some impressive numbers while he's at LSU.

While true, he has his work cut out for him, this year. If you guys put up a great "O" this year, he would deserve the top spot. (He might anyway) You guys have a TON to replace. I realize LSU has a lot of talent....but....man....you lost a ton.

I don't think Bobo is a "great" offensive mind, from the standpoint of being innovative like Malzahn and some others. however, I DO believe Bobo sees his talent and can scheme around his talent very well. He game plans well. What he did last season with absolutely nothing (after all the injuries hit) was amazing. We should have lost 8-9 games.

And why would that matter? So some dumbass high schoolers joined a group on Facebook. He's proven himself to be one of the best offensive coordinators in the entire country. He has statistics to prove it. The only reason he gets any hate is because of his name and people just assume he's not any good. Watch the games, I'm sure you watched ours last year, he's a damn good coordinator.

Exactly.

And, honestly, that was a common sentiment until a couple of years ago. MOST Georiga fans feel very fortunate to have Bobo, now.

For me a great offensive mind is Malzahn and Spurrier. (Not OC, but still) I DO think bobo holds his own, though and does an excellent job.

I haven't seen enough of Cameron to form an opinion, although he has a very impressive body of work to this point. Cameron will be in the position Bobo was in last year. He has some talent with Fournette, so it will be interesting to see how the LSU offense progresses and grows throughout the year. I'll be curious to see how Florida does, too. I FEEL like they will bust out this year....but it is a guess.

I might be wrong, Gatorhata9, but I think his point was he was pulling links only from people that shared his own sentiment and not a true overall picture.

If this

is what you're judging by, then this

makes me think your parents were siblings.

Actually 5 plays. You forgot the one when you return a missed FG 108 yds for a TD.

As much as I'd like to put spav high on the list, he has been an OC for one game at A&M. Things are promising, but I'd have to put Sumlin as a top offensive mind, not Spav for now.

If we're counting offensive geniuses, not just OCs, Sumlin is #1 on the list for total body of work.
