it's a symbolic job I think.

No. There's been a huge difference in play calling between Smart and Pruitt.

A video of the guy eating from 11 years ago? Ok. Not sure what the point is here.

If that is the case then he really is a genius, the ones that have propped him up for so long are the idiots

He just fell backwards into those high school jobs, Alabama off field job, Alabama on field job, FSU DC, UGA DC and then finally Alabama DC.

Born on 3rd base I tell ya.

you still just can't get over the fact that he was at hoover when you were and he didn't know what asparagus was huh?

Last year he took a moderately talented UGA team with brian schottenheimer as OC (who is worse than chaney, if you can believe it) and gave us the #1 pass defense in the country and a top 10 ppg D and ypg D. The guy had good/very good defenses at UGA, a championship caliber defense in 1 season FSU, and has been nothing but excellent at bama. The guy hahs literally been a winner everywhere he's ever been in football but yeah, he's an idiot and it's only the guys aroudn him making him look good

The poster you are responding to has always been a huge Rush defender/supporter, despite the whole "second family" thing. I'm beginning to think that poster is related to Rush and holds some type of grudge against Pruitt b/c Pruitt got a college job that Rush was in line for until people starting doing background checks on him.

It's either that or the poster was warming the bench while Pruitt coached and he thinks he shouldn't started.

I don't necessarily think it's that he was riding the bench, I know personally I'd be furious if one of the guys that coached me went on to win title after title after title at georgia tech. Not only that, but he would have also whooped up on my school at our 2nd biggest rival, and beat my school for a natty while with another school to boot.

I can clearly see why the dude is ate up as hell over pruitt, but at least just say "frick that dude" and move on..trying to say that pruitt has only been successful because of his surroundings is simply ignorant. No other way around that.

Dude. If you were a good player - or even a solid contributor - and a coach had poured into your life and helped you along the way, you may not like him having success at your rival, but you would most likely take a "I hate that it's happening, but at least if it is happening it's happening for Coach X. That guy was awesome for me".

That poster has something deeper than Bama against Pruitt b/c Pruitt was all Bama even while he was at Hoover.

All Jeremy Pruitt does is surf talk forums such as this one, to get his ideas for what defense to run.

Because that explains how he's taught the players to "put their dicks in their hips"

Pruitt got Richt fired and the IPF built.

All of UGA's studs on defense right now are Pruitt's recruits.

A few years from now, uga fans will have a lot to thank Pruitt for.

How do Bama fans on here feel about Pruitt? When he was first hired, I was talking to a couple friends from Birmingham and they both despised Pruitt. One was a Bama fan, the other was a Samford fan (because apparently that's a thing) but both of them gave me the impression that Pruitt and his family created a lot of bad blood locally back in the day. The Bama fan regarded him as a necessary evil. The Samford fan regarded him as an unnecessary evil. Neither of them were really clear on what happened except to say that it involved stuff that would be easier to understand if I had more experience with local stuff.
