I don't really care. I'm not going to buy a Bud Light for $10.

Assuming they still exist, we know we can't allow ole miss to have beer sales. They'll just throw it all in the air every time they get a first down

I am fine with it but I sneak miniatures into games anyway so it doesnt really matter to me

I support it. People who want to get drunk at games are still going to. It's incredibly easy to bring flasks into games. If people want to get drunk off 10 dollar bud and miller lights let them. It won't be like an NFL game because the types of people who go to the games are vastly different. If they didn't serve beer at Oakland or San Fran they'd still have some of the trashiest fan bases easily.

I don't care either way if they are going to be $20.

I think its time for the SEC to lift the ban.
It would add revenue in a manner that doesn't sacrifice tradition, such as naming your stadium after a grocery store chain.
The only reason I think the schools don't push harder for it is because while it may increase revenue in the stands, demand for premium seating actually might fall. Part of the reason people and companies pay for club seats is because they can often have access to alcohol. If everyone gets that access in the cheap seats, then the premium seats lose some of their value.

Yep, like I said, your ticket should act as a voucher for a beer.

Agreed. I mean would you want a bunch of college kids having as many beers as they wanted? 2 should be max.
beer drunk is better/safer than college kids sneaking in a shite ton of green label and blacking out by halftime

Yeah me too. When I see someone who has obviously over indulged, I point them out and say, "see kids, that guy is a gump, we don't act like that."

Dude. You are an Arkansas fan living in Mississippi. You're not in a position to get uppity about any SEC fan base.

They already serve beer where I usually sit. You just have to finish it before you walk outside to the seat

I think it would help with the people that get whiskey drunk and angry by 3rd quarter. It wouldn't stop it but i think a few would be less inclined to sneak in a flask after crushing 5-6 beers before the game and getting sloppy during because of the whiskey. They would pace themselves a little better. I'm only for beer/wine tho. No liquor.

Where are they getting the $160 for the beer drunk?

I'd be all for in game beer sales. I think it'd actually help keep people determined to get drunk from getting too shitfaced because it takes away the incentive to smuggle in hard liquor. People get way more out of hand if they've killed a hip flask of Beam in lieu of a few pints, and I'd say around half of Vaught-Hemingway is already sneaking booze in, so the school might as well make money off the thirst. Like, having a dude behind you spill a ziplock of cheap bourbon on you because he's too trashed to operate the simplest of plastic bag technology could be prevented if he had to pace himself with watered down domestic macrobrews.
On the other hand, because of some typical arse backwards Misssissippi bullshite, liquor is allowed on campus, but beer technically is not, much like how the city of Oxford is wet, but Lafayette County is dry. Allowing hard spirits but not hopped, lightly carbonated beverages makes no sense, and it seems completely counterproductive. For those wondering, Right Field technically isn't on campus, which is why the coolers can exist.

They do sell beer in Tiger Stadium. You just have to buy the right tickets. They have a nice bar and buffet there as well.
If you would have asked this question in 93 i would have definitly said sell beer. Now that im older I dont want to sit around a bunch of drunks that go into a shark frenzy.
Maybe a compromise is that to get a beer they scan your ticket and each ticket is allowed 2 beer purchases.
