It is simple really. Florida had maybe five years of great football while lsu had ten.

Really?

LSU (110 wins, 2 BCS Champ, 3 SEC Champ)
Florida (108 wins, 2 BCS Champ, 3 SEC Champ)

Florida won all those games while being good for just 5 years? Yet LSU dominated for 10 and only won 2 more games? Maybe LSU wasn't as dominant for all 10 of those years as you remember

Looks pretty even to me. You can dig deeper and look at division titles, BCS games, top 10 finishes etc if you like. But if LSU was great for twice as long as Florida, you'd think they'd be more than 2 wins ahead of florida

lul, wut?

They are separated by 2 games over an 11 year period.

UF went to 5 BCS bowls.
LSU went to 4 BCS bowls.

good one

I'll take that comment as an admission that USC did get no on the field advantage from Reggie Bush?

So Spurrier didn't take Florida to the Sugar Bowl in 2000 & the Orange Bowl in 2001?

Florida had a shorter period of higher success, but LSU has been more sustained. 3 SEC championships and 2 national championships with 2 different coaches. I'd say LSU, but Florida did beat our 03 and 06 teams.

We didn't split anything. Since 98 the only title than means piss is BCS. If LSU was awarded an AP trophy I'd feel the same.

Whatever you do.... dont tell these Bama homers that the Crimson Tide Gymnastic squad carries the weight of the University's non football athletic programs on their petite shoulders.

I dont think Bama fans really give a shite about anything besides football... so you can tell us that all you want and it wont bother us a bit. but fwiw... Bama's basketball team is light years ahead of LSU, not that any of this has anything to do with the subject of this thread

USC has 1.5 National Titles in that time period (unless you want to not count the '04 title with Reggie Bush). Which is the exact same as LSU. Its funny how LSU fans like to pretend they didn't split the '03 NC with USC. USC also played in the '05 NC where they lost a thriller to TX

USC had to give up the AP championship did they not?

Yes, I would like to see LSU get a MNC without any blemishes so all the haters can stop hatin

but when you have 3 team in the top 10 from the SECW...it's very very difficult year in and year out..

LSU has been very consistent...had the most talented team in 2006....

If LSU doesn't win it this year, they will be favored to win it next year...and maybe the year after.

Most of this year's team is Sophomores

from 2003? I'm not sure but I dont think so. I think it was only 2004 but I could be wrong on that one

this is true. Bama and Aub just did it back to back though

You are asking who was the most consistantly dominant program

Not who had the best teams in the period

Auburn jumps all over the damn place.

USC's early part of the 00's mirrors LSU eerily, but their peak claim to fame period was largely taken away from them, and going into probation they fell off the face of the earth.

And....Boom goes the dynamite. You "don't care" cause you got nothing to care about.

FYI - LSU claims the 1935 NC in BB. Let me guess you, don't about those ole time titles either......
