Apparently it isn't Nick Chubb, because comparing two different running backs on different teams in different divisions isn't logical enough as it is, so we have to compare from different YEARS to get the facts

It's not Chubb dumbass, there is no arguing whatsoever that Chubb had a better year than Fournette, because Chubb blew LF out of the water. Player B is a freshman TJ Yeldon, that also had a better freshman season than Fournette

How many games did each play?
Why were return stats not included?
How many fumbles did each have?

No, just that they were about on par with each other and those crowning Fournette after one season need to hold the phone.

Even though I don't know which true froshies you're comparing the problematic nature of blind stats springs to mind. As Twain (and many others) once noted, "There's lies, damned lies, and statistics." (FWIW, Mark Twain attributed the quote to British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.)

It's an interesting exercise, especially during the offseason. However, the point remains that you can't tell much from blind stats. Situations and context matter a whole helluva when comparing players and damn near everything else.

Relevant why? Wouldn't carries be the stat that matters as far as opportunity to pad stats goes?

Perhaps they didn't both play special teams? What's next, going to brag that Jalen Collins has more interceptions than Amari Cooper?

This is a valid question.

He's saying it can't be Chubb because Chubb had much better numbers than either of those two

Nick Chubb is a beast. Chubb and Elliott will be the best two backs in the country next year.

Leonard Fournette was a 1000 yard rusher despite being on one of the worst offenses in the country, and running up against almost exclusively 8-9 man boxes.
