Who was better their Freshman year, Laremy or Cam?

And who is the better player/pro going forward?

Probably about equal in both respects.

Most mock drafts and draft people have both of them as the #1 tackles in their draft classes and both will be Top 5 picks.

Walter Football has Tunsil as the #3 pick in 2016, #1 OT.

CBS Draft Prospects has Cam as the #1 OT in the 2018 Draft group.

This is as an Aubie fan

Cam Robinson was better and likely will be better.

Doesn't mean Tunsil isn't a great talenta nd won't be a top pick caliber player, Cam Robinson just was the best OL on a top 4 team and even while hurt was dominant

I think it's a wash honestly. They both started at LT as Freshmen. Robinson unquestionably had more supporting talent so by that LT.

Both are incredible talents. I think Tunsil stood out more Freshman year because he played on a team where he was far and away the best OL. Hopefully Tunsil recovers ok, but as of now Robinson looks like the better prospect to me.

You essentially are splitting hairs here. It is like saying which RB would you rather have on your team, Herschel or Bo Jackson?

You aren't going to go wrong with either and both are the elite LTs of their year

After Tunsil's injury some NFL prospect boards dropped Tunsil to #2 OT behind Ronnie Stanley from Notre Dame.

Both are good players. When Auburn played Tunsil his freshman year, our DEs dominated him, so I'll go with Robinson.

You had one sack on him and that was the only one he gave up all year. Really dominating

AU DE's got 100% of the sacks Tunsil gave up as a FR?!? Man. They dominated that guy. Wait. What are we talking about?

In a thread on 247, Barton Simmons and JC Shurbutt both rated Robinson as the better prospect because they liked his frame more. I honestly don't know how you pick between the two....

Cam is a superior run-blocker.

Cam Robinson was about as good as a freshman LT can be. No knock on Tunsil, but Robinson is about as good as it gets at LT.

I think Cam does have an advantage in the run-blocking game, but I think Tunsil is the better pass-blocker. You also have to remember, Tunsil doesn't have a ton of talent around him on the OL. He's asked to play on an island, I'm sure, a little more than Cam (And I'm not saying Cam doesn't, I just think Tunsil does it more.)

This was before Cam even played a game of college football...

Another way of looking at it is that Cam beat out more talent to get a starting job.
