Who had a more impressive 2023 Season: Lane Kiffin or Eli Drinkwitz?

Both were phenomenal.
Tough call to pick one here.
Think I would pick Eli but it could just as well be Lane.

Drinkwitz. Their Cotton Bowl beatdown of tOSU shows a program having arrived

I didn't watch much of Mizzou this season so just going only by tangible results, it's an incredibly difficult decision. Though Mizzou did have the benefit of not having to play Bama. That most likely would have been a loss.

Same record but Ole Miss had a top 5 schedule.
Ole Miss beat LSU, Mizzou lost to LSU.
Heading into bowl season, Ole Miss' best win was LSU (who Mizzou lost to) and Mizzou's best win was... Kansas State? Tennessee?
Both had strong bowl wins over very similar opponents. Ohio State was on their 3rd string QB but still a very talented team overall. So I guess it's in the eye of the beholder.

Mizzou came out of nowhere so I'd give it to Drink.

Begrudgingly have to say Eli here. This time last year a very large portion of their fanbase wanted him fired. That wasn’t the case with Lane as their expectations were through the roof. Based off both having similar results this season, the answer has to be Eli regardless of schedule strength.

You’re just saying that because you’re jealous we didn’t get lane. Just saying this so ole miss fans don’t have to.

Mizzou didn’t get blown out by 30 points, so I’d say them.

100% jealous we didn’t get Lane. I don’t try to hide it.

Drink - what Mizzou did cannot be overstated. They looked an awful lot like an NFL team, tbh

I agree both did a great job, but if you go by a comparison of expectations to results I agree with you.
Ole Miss was ranked 22 in the preseason AP poll and finished 11th in the regular season.
Mizzou was preseason unranked (not even one vote) in the AP and finished the regular season 9th in AP.

This is the reason for me elevating them to a tie. Lane had the better season based on who they played. But Mizzou came from fricking no where this year. That's what made them so impressive.

I thought Drink was getting canned and they were very good this year. Definitely my answer.
