I think the SEC should expand to 24:

Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State.

Split conference into two sub conferences with two divisions apiece.

Play 4 team playoff to determine conference champion.

That's a nice list of schools except for Louisville-they suck. Instead of them, maybe add another program in that region. Other than that your 24-team conference is a great idea.

I take it you've never been to Louisville.
Louisville is a shite town. No one should go there until they get their police under control.

The Acc and Pac are both on borrowed time and will be easy pickings.

I would prefer to keep the footprint tighter. TX and OK are fare enough west. We may gobble up FSU, Clemson, Screw Miami, UVA and NCU would be fits. Also, we can kick out VANDY.

Bring Sewanee back! Prettiest campus in the conference and coolest cheer in the conference. Make it happen!

I've heard the SEC may go to 32 teams and break away from the NCAA but I do not believe it will go that high. I believe the SEC will need the other Power leagues to have a legit playoff and to keep fan participation nationwide.

Duke, UNC, NC State and Florida State.
VA Tech would be cool, they've got personality. UVA has hors d'oeuvres.

I suspect that the SEC and Big Ten will each go to 24 teams. The SEC mostly picking off the Southern public universities in the ACC with 1 or 2 Big-12 programs. The Big Ten grabbing the valuable pieces left in the PAC-12.

At that point, all of the teams of merit are contained within two mega conferences. They could split off and create a model similar to the early NFL-AFL merger. Each have a playoff to determine the champion. The national title cycles between the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl.

20 teams each is perfect for the B10 and the SEC. 10 team divisions, 9 conference games, a conference title game in Atlanta and Chicago (once the new Bears stadium is open), and then the true nattty game in the Rose or Sugar Bowl on NYD.

I’m all open to whatever gets it where we can rationalize the playoff and not waste space on participation trophy holders.
