Freeze isn't going anywhere. I don't know what will happen but I think the system was put in place to keep Freeze in the dark. Plausible deniability is in place. The only way he gets gone is if the NCAA catches him in a lie and he gets show cause. In that case, Ole Miss couldn't afford to keep him.

If they were to get at hit hard by the NCAA something like 25 scholarships over 3 years and a 2 year bowl ban. What coach would take a job that's the 6th maybe 5 best job in it's on division with those sanctions?

IF...a big IF... it turns out to be factual that a coach was part of the process of paying players, Tunsil to date only naming 1, then there is no way that Freeze, as the HC, can use the "plausible deniability " defense. No coach on any Div. I team would take it upon himself to pay out hard cash to a player/s. Freeze had his chance to investigate the staff when all this first broke and if it comes out that there were other violations, then he really has no defense as he claimed to have thoroughly investigate all the allegations.

I don't think plausible deniability holds water for HC's with the new NCAA structure. When "mistakes" are made, the HC gets the full blame for it now.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a coach retained once his school is hit with major probation. If Ole Miss is and he's retained, that would be highly unusual

That is the perfect pick. Bucky may end up at Baylor. An easy cult exchange.

Screw that. Give me Derek Mason and a talented existing roster. Gonna be our defensive coordinator soon enough but in this unlikely scenario I'd take a flier on him.

I wouldn't mind either Art Briles or Derek Mason.

Art Briles can eat a d!ck. I think mason could thrive. Or go Fedora, Allen, maybe Harsin.

Go the MSU route. Hire a minority to pay reparations for your school's racist past so the NCAA will go easy on you.

Does not exist anymore. The fact he was at a recruits house with a booster ruined that anyway.
