Why would he make an in conference lateral move?
Do you consider a raise of a couple million from a school with 3xs the resources and easier to recruit a lateral move?

Mullen already makes 4+ million. Les only makes 4.3.......

Okay apart from disputing contracts and how much we would pay him, so we can avoid argument and uphold discussion, is State truly a lateral move? Better facilities, shite ton more resources, a program that's always investing in itself, a better recruiting bed that's easier to recruit? As if we wouldn't bump him up in pay, just an overall bigger brand. Discuss?
Yet you flake at any signs of logic or discussion. But the troll says he doesn't respond to trolls.

I don't reply to you because you disrupt discussion. Anytime discussion is being held you fly in moaning about why, when, what I am posting.

Good question about 2017. I was in South Africa when all this mess was going on. Hell, might book another trip for November 2016 just in case it happens again.

Thanks for the amazing laugh! I needed that!

Need to get current dude. Mullen makes as much as Miles now and so does Freeze.
I have to agree that LSU is a much better location for recruiting and facilities. Anybody that has been to StarkVegas would realize that.

LSU has a top class coming in
On paper this is true as it has been for a number of years. But take a close look at who has been recruited to play certain positions. Right now it is typically loaded at certain positions and pretty empty at others.
This has been my main beef with Miles... he doesn't recruit a balanced class for whatever reason. Still time to fill in the holes but DL is an obvious one, The big 5-star signee did not have a great playoff game against ... Country Day.

That's a great call. My post was at 2 am, so he slipped my mind. I think fedora knows he has reached his peak and will be looking around over these next two years.

Miles
Your looking at a coach on a level that will average less than 9 wins a year if you replace miles.
There are only about 8 big time coaches in college football once you get past those it is best quests.
So do you stay with a coach that wins near 10 a year o place the future of your program on another wild ride of near 20 years looking for another Saban or Miles to come up out of the coaching ranks?
I watched LSU football a long time and know it's history all the way back 1892 when we could not field a team due to lack of interest, a Wingard, Jones, Moore, Saban and Miles do not come along as many think.
Notice that our best coaches come back to back and then years of drop off? Jones, Moore, Paul and Charlie, Saban and Miles.
Keep what you got and play Bama for the west each year and be happy.

Okay, then how about this question: Who do LSU fan want as the coach in 2017? (Realistically)

Everyone knows that it won't be Miles and that the only reason Miles is returning is because Fisher said no thanks. Will LSU throw more money at Fisher? I feel like Fisher won't leave a cushy situation at FSU. Is it Tom Herman? He certainly had a pretty good year and seems to be a great recruiter. With essentially another year to scout and conduct interviews, the LSU AD has no excuse to frick this up. So who all will LSU look at?
Alleva wasn't totally at fault. He was asked by a few strong-armed BOS members to get rid of Miles. It was not really his fault.
The decision to keep Miles was actually made a week before the A&M game.
I fervently hope Miles has a great year and shuts up all the know-it-all pieholes out there...
